Should this be written to the ROM102rev10C card image now - or wait until it becomes active?

Or, I guess the other question is: will it cause any problem if it is written now?

It would seem if it is streaming now, then it is already on any card that is open to receiving and storing it. Or is that the issue? Does a hacked card/image not have the ability to receive/store this MECM?

Any ideas/comments?

You should always wait until the MECM becomes active before writing it to a card to make sure that there are no "noogies" in it.

Everyone else is correct, wait till the PID key is released.

THe above code is encryped, and we don't know that this code is designed to do until the new PID key is sent (at this time this key has not been sent).
If the new MECM code contains loop command, when the new PID key becomes active in the streem, your card could get looped (only if the MECM code contains a loop command).

So keep this new MECM code off your card until the PID key is becomes active, and then the MECM code can be decrypted and verified safe to run.

I just wait to the 005 NAG to show up, then check back here to see if the new MECM is safe to run.

I have dish wiz blocker use code space to up date keys on 10b read card nagra edit then open 2/14 patch change emcm patch to 2/21 then write to card 005 error. Oh by the way I changed 106 key to new.

Seems to be working fine for me. For those button-pushers like me, there is one extra step, make sure you apply sj's patch to add new pid and remove old data types. Its posted in the KEYS section

This patch isn't working for me either. I'm getting 005 nag. I applied this patch and the new PID keys along with the Dish Wiz blocker. Even check my expiry date in Mr Tier Works but I still get the 005 nag.

Anyone have any ideals?

I had already added the patch to my ROM102 image before you all replied. But, no worries, my Rom102 image doesn't get applied to a card - I use it as my .cor file for st19 emulation with AUX. I need to learn and do all the same stuff that's needed for Rom102 plastic fix except writing it to a card. I also don't need a blocker as the worst thing that can happen is to loop my .cor file.

So today (Feb 21) when the Feb 20 MECM went active, my emulation fix chugged right along without a hitch (Since I have no blocker, the 106 key change rolls just fine) But for some reason that I don't understand, this setup doesn't automatically apply the MECM - I have to apply that myself.

So this patch works just fine on my "Rom102" ;) , and as stated by others here, you need the key change if it's not on your Rom102 image.

I personally just took the 18Feb Muah, updated the keys, and patched the new MECM in. I am up and wide open.

then add new 9f patch but still get not authorized.

write 10b to card enter new keys on 10b then read card apply blocker patch with new emm and 9F patch make sure keys are current in patch test write 2 card then try to read card the put in reciver and enjoy.
