AuxShare 0.2.2 Alpha Linux
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is labeled "Alpha" because it isn't fully debugged yet. We are experiencing some freezing, but don't know if its due to a bug in Auxshare, or if it is related to the freezing reported by ST19XL 2.6.27.
Note: This version requires a RECENT version of ST19XL.... version 2.6.27 is recommended. It probably won't work on older versions.
I am releasing this for testing. If you have a system running 2.6.27 using a real aux card AND are experiencing NO FREEZING with it, please try this and report on freezing (yes or no).
Auxshare 0.2.2
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Code:
-------------
Release Notes
-------------
- Version 0.2.2 - Added dual timer (Reg 0x10 & 0x14) for map22.
- Version 0.2.1 - Updated bug introduced into Map3b.
- Version 0.2.0 - Updated Parsing for Map3E - for new packet format.
- Fixed some bugs with smartcard support, however there
are a few more to iron out.
- Version 0.1.9 - Added support for Map3E.
- Added support for Map22.
- Version 0.1.4 - Fixed COM port issue with ports above COM9, tested
and works with COM ports upto 254, but it should
work with any COM port.
- Added some features back from the DOS version.
- Added support for Map57.
- Added support for smartcard again, but this is
still fully untested as mapcalls aren't in use
at the moment. I will add the ability to share
the card between multiple clients when there is a
need.
- Version 0.1.3 - First Release of Win32 Version - some features
from DOS version still not implemented - see below. Thanks to retiredguy for his log files and blue by you for testing, and as always - PGM and perky - because without these guys we would be nowhere...
Also - LazyBastard for working with me - and yes there should be a Linux version available soon.

No to b*v because I beleive they are still using timed map57.

Still some freezing on d*sh - needs a little more work.

Using ST19XL v2.6.27 on PIII500 256MB RAM basic Windows XP Pro installed
IRD: 301.010 w/ homemade internal max/mel w/ 10bar flash

Get freezing OFTEN. Wife said it happened several times an hour (like often every 5-10 minutes). I've been home for the last 45 minutes and it's froze like 6-8 times.
It freezes for 6-15 seconds and then comes back.

When Auxshare passes info (IDK what it's actually doing, but it scrolls a bunch of stuff on the screen) CPU usage on st19xl spikes to about 42-48% and auxshare spikes to about 3-4%

Interesting. Dish with Pentium MMX got freezing on 19 to 27. Went to a celeron 400 no freezing(this is with auxcard). Bell running 24 or 27 no freezing with aux on a Pentiun MMX. Will try this auxshare and report back. No to b*v because I beleive they are still using timed map57. Still some freezing on d*sh - needs a little more work. sLaShEr.The posted readme by smilingjack states that in version 0.1.4 "Added support for Map57". Shouldn't it still be in there? lol So auxshare can't support timing?

sLaShEr

That is correct - no timing for map57 implemented.

http://bellexpress.vu/forum/local_links.php?catid=64

This is alpha version 2 - that *should* work with ST19 V2.6.21 and result in no freezing. Please post results here.

Of course this is for D*sh....no Auxshare working for b*v as of now.

Thanks,
sLaShEr.

Is ST19XL 2.6.21 supposed to be working? I'm just getting a black screen with it, whereas .27 was working just with frequent freezing.
