The dish1000 normally uses Dishproplus technology. The 6000 will not work with DPP by itself UNLESS you have a DP receiver hooked up to the second feed or you have a DP adaptor on the 6000 feed. If you changed the lnbs to legacy, then disregard.

I have dp receiver hooked up to second feed but first feed wich goes in 6000 has no dish pro adapter. I am not sure if i need one as longest i pick up all 3 sat's. All 3 sat's has i good signal.

Ok, should not need a DP adaptor in that case. Is the switch test fine, but it just won`t update the firmware to P856?

the current software version is 856P, but it doesn't say welcome to dish 1000 if i tune to channel 9900 , is dish 500, if i tune to channel 9901 "you are pointed to 129"

That`s fine. Don`t think you will get an actual "splash" page saying anything about Dish1000. My 6000 is exactly the same way,

Ok then, but how many hd channels do you pick up, I only pick up those wich i had with dish 500,

Yeah, that is all you will get now. All the Voom HD channels, as well as locals or PPV, on 129 went to MPEG4 and we can`t get them with the 6000. So we only get one PPV and HBO, Show, and those few others.
