I have a FLU which was converted to to 2700. I uploaded the Jvvh(F7)_Fortec-2500_CanAm_251.bin file, it rebooted, showed b-75, then...
BANG! (sound like a small firecracker), and a puff of smoke coming from the FLU.

It's pretty obvious I blew a resistor or capacitor, but don't know if it is the result of the bin or not. Since I haven't seen anyone else screaming about it, I'll assume it wasn't . But I wanted to share, in case anybody else has a similar experience with this bin.

Well, with all the recent static over the FLU support, I guess it was time for a new unit anyway.... (sigh)

i do not htink the software could cause a capacitor to blow. sounds like it was merely a mechanical failure and a coincidence to that file. I had a pansat clone some time back and had the the "time bomb" clone bin loaded and it just killed the flash i had to jtag it back, never did it cause any mechanical failures.
