I'm running st19 v2.6.28 with AUX card. From time to time I get a nag that the smart card is not the proper card for this receiver. The only way to clear it is to reboot the st19 and power off/on (remove power) on the 3900 IRD. It's happened three times in a week - I've onlly been running st19 for a week so I have little experience with what to expect.

I am running secondary keys on the TSOP and ROM102 bin. Normally they appear married but the nag has occurred three times. The TSOP appears to be undamaged as it reboots just fine and reconnects OK to the rebooted version of st19.

Is this a symptom that would appear if the card is looped?

Has anyone had a looped core recently where they have determined where the loop occurred. In other words, where would I look in the image, and what would I look for? Or has any one done this analysis?

I didn't think to save the cor so I could do a comparison using a hex camparison tool - guess I'd need to figure out what to use to compare.

Any ideas?

I'm already in dos using a boot floppy.

I just wondered if anyone else had this problem and if anyone had actualy looked at it more closely. Also what the symptoms would be if my cor was being looped.

The cor can't be looped. How was the cor married to the IRD ? eg. exsub or GenDT08

The core was married to the IRD using the RSA keys saved from the GenDT08 using Secondary Keys. Anytime I use a new core I use GenDT08 and apply the keys to match it up with the IRD's TSOP. It runs fine most of the time - has been running for about 20 hours now since the reboot of the IRD and the st19. I may be causing the problem as I have the habit of rebooting st19 after changing the Tiers or the MECMs on the core, without rebooting the IRD. This last time after the problem, I rebooted both and all seems well.

Don't know what the pin 1 mod is... Is this referring to the MAXMEL? If so my MAXMELS are home made from 4 years ago and are the real MAXMEL using the 2313 atmel and the 232 maxim chips.
