Anybody emulating a rom 103 using ST19? If you would, list the changes you had to make. I know you need to make a .cor for your 103 file and I saw where someone said you need to use perky 1.32 on your aux card. Thanks for any info as files (blockers, patches, etc) for 103's don't seem as easy to get as the are the 102. This is a premature question as I am looking to get a 625 going in the future. One more question I didn't think of-I guess you need a 103 card for the aux card. DUH. Well maybe it will work cardless? Thanks again.

This is BY FAR the best way to test a dual tuner ird.
Here are the general steps to getting your 625/522 running on st19
1. Wire up the card slot, and install your internal or external max/mel board.
2. It is perky 1.23 that you write to the cam to use as aux. It DOES NOT matter if you use a rom102 OR rom103 as an aux. This is the joy of st19 emu. You can use a rom102 card for aux on a 522/322/921 (rom103 based irds)...it doesn't matter. Just make sure that you write the perk1-23.bn102 to a rom102 card and perk1-23.bn103 to a rom103 card
3. You DO NOT have to use any blockers
4. Take your backup rom103 image and wipe the tiers and clean codespace. Now, apply the rev38C codespace patch to the image. NOTE: this patch IS REAL CODESPACE, THUS DOESN'T HAVE INTERCEPT. If you write this to a card, you will be permanently locked out since their is NO rev38C unlocker. Rename image to st19.cor
5. Put a floppy disk into drive, go to my computer, right click on floppy, choose format. Put checkmark in 'make startup disk'. When complete, dump these files onto the floppy:
-st19.cor
-st19.rom (rom103 version)
-st19xl.exe (latest 2.6.28 dos version)
-autoexec.bat (command line: st19xl.exe /m /s /t /a)
6. hook iso w/ aux card onto com2, hook emu board to com1
7. boot from floppy, and watch TV!!!!!

Can the later 625 irds with the 206 (I believe) bga be used with an auxed 102 using st19 or can the tsop be read on them in order to create a married 103 image?

You've basically answered your own question, it probably would work, but only by reading the 206, which we can't do at this time. The only other way would be to clone the IRD, which is quite involved but can be done.

Yes.........been doing rom 103 to 206 emulation for months. You need the rom info which some folks have the tools to do. The ST19xl just needs converted from rom 102 to rom 103(mainly the st19.rom)..........PGM is the, and has been the man!!
The biggest bugaboo was the flash for the emulator.
