hi has you can see i am very new to all this does any one who can give me advice on re keying a The CaptiveWorks CW-600S any info would help me alot with thanks beforehand for any help :)

call a pro!!!!!!!!!!!! lol you have to download a loader then download a file then put the file into the loader then into the receiver. but you can only do this between the hours of 1am to 1pm for free

Now the next question, it is the "Regular" or "Premium"??? Some people recomend the Loader 1.05 for the regular one and the 1.07 for the Premium, I do not have one, but when asked, I use the 1.05 without troubles. So, you need the Loader 1.05 or 1.07, a Null cable and the working bin (1.7...), get that and comeback for the next set of instructions.;)

We are in the verge of ECM, so lets wait and see what happen. Any way, decompress with WinZip or WinRaR that bin and decompress the Loader as well, connect the cable between your receiver and computer, open the loader and double check the port for that (should match the one in your computer and the loader), look for the bin and when the loader checks that, you are almost ready. Put your reciever in Stand-By (power your receiver ON with the back switch and with the control, press power until the display shows --:--), in that moment press download (or something else) in the loader and let it finish. You can power off and disconnect until the display shows END. Let us know what you do!!!

sorry to be a pain calin but can you tell me is there any way to back up the tv box up before i try to load the key and 2nd i see theres two keys do i load both or just one this very new to me

Well, as I said before, I do not have one, so is hard to remember right now; so I do not undertand what you mean with "back up de tv box"??? Easy, you upload the bin and should be everything else in place, if you mean, re-entering the settings, probably you will have to do that, so write down all data related to and go ahead. There is out there a couple of additional bins, called "long names" and (ooops, I forgot the name of the other) that makes even easier to keep your settings and channels in place, let me know and I will try to find the exact names for you!!! Let me know!!!

calin hi i am getting confused with key i only 16 the key i got from this site as alot more so is it just the 1st 4 keys or do i just put the key intill it runs out with thanks

You do not have to enter ANY key sets, if you already uploaded the bin it should autoroll and get sound & image; do not forget to activate the patch (press F1 and then 000).

try turning the unit off and then back on with the switch in the back. also if you have the manual that came with your captiveworks 600s read it. theres a site listed in it that has all the help that you need for their box.

hi calin i have problem one the kids messed around with remote and set it back to factory settings i was gutted pig sick as they say so i came out swolled pride and carred on with factory set thinking to myself one i put the bin file in that would be it but the strange thing was it did not scramble any programes do i need more software to go with the cw600pv1.7.6 witch i loaded bk on any help would be great

after a factory reset all the Antenna settings and channel information are gone. You have to enter the antenna settings again and re-scan the satellites you are pointed at.

No, once you have your bin uploaded and factory setted, just re-enter all of your settings without forgetting enable the patch!!!:)

Everything is down!!! I Am not sure, but bins are coming out (at least for SV's). Wait, get the new bin and do what you know now.
