I am trying to apply a blocker to my Rom 102 Rev 103 card. I tried to use the Muah All In One but could not figure out how to make the Bin/Blocker combination work. I changed the password in Nagraedit 5.2 but when I tried to apply the patch I would get that the Password was out of range. I was using 16 digits and no alphabet past the letter F. I worked on this thing all day. I decided to try using just a Blocker patch (c0d3sP4c3 Blocker), but it doesn't show a password. I opened it and read something about autolock and manual lock with something like "01 and 06". I did not apply the patch to my bin because I don't want to get locked out of my card. Can someone please give me some help with these blockers.

; Maximum table size is 256 bytes.
; Entrys in the table are formated

; There should always be two entries

Thanks for the info. I downloaded the blocker and the patch and changed the password and keys. The separate blocker and patch was much easier to work with. I then programmed the card per your instructions in post #77686 where you replied to my request for "Help changing password in the Muah All-In-One. The programming went fine I thought, but when I hooked up the receiver and put the card in it said that the "SmartCard currently inserted is Invalid for this receiver". I also noticed that the card # in the System Info screen is different from the number on back of the card. This card did not com with this receiver, but I put in the number from back of the card when I was creating tiers. Do I need to do something else to make the card and receiver match? Thanks for your help

In your case the c0d3sP4c3 Blocker will not work for you because your card and ird are not married. When they are a married set they have unique Boxkey and ird #'s that are coded on the card which make them Private#'s. The c0d3sP4c3 Blocker requires Private cam info to get video.
Since your card is not married to your receiver you would have to Jtag the ird to read the memory flash with the Jkeys program. You then would save the flash file and modify it(Boxkeys, ird number)with Public info with the FlashEdit program and save it, then rewrite it back to the ird with Jkeys. This is what you would have to do to get the Muah Blocker going. This is known as having Public information on your card and ird.
So with that being said your best bet is to try and use the Muah as you were trying to do. What receiver are you using? Find out if it is Jtagable so you can modify the Flash with Public numbers per the Muah Blocker.

I am using a DP 301-010 receiver and I have already jtagged the receiver and saved the Eeprom and flash1/flash2. I had such a hard time trying to program the card with the Muah All In One that I gave up on it. That's why I went to the c0d3sP4c3 Blocker. I kinda figured out that I needed to marry the card to the receiver and asked some questions about it in the Newbie section about Gendt08. The problem I have with the Muah is how to separate the Bin from the blocker when programming. It is really confusing to me. By "PUBLIC" info, do you mean my current ird and cam info? Thanks for the help.

Ok let's stop right here and get your receiver ready first. You say you jtagged and saved the eeprom and Flashes. Did you modify flash1/flash2 with the Public numbers? I ask this cause you say all you did was save the flashes and nothing else.
Your receiver flashes must have Public numbers on them. Meaning the Boxkeys and ird number must match with what's on your Public Blocker(Muah). When you jtagged your ird, the boxkeys and ird # revealed are considerd Private as you are the only one to know those numbers. You would need to modify flash1/U22 flash2/U23 that you saved. You can do this with FlashEdit. The Public Boxkeys for the Muah blocker are 8CA6A88CFDE2E263 and the ird# in hex form is 011C746C.
Have you done this already?

OK...I have re-jtagged my receiver and modified flash1 and flash2 with the Public Boxkeys and IRD hex # that you gave me. Do I need to update the software on the receiver? The instructions I used for jtagging said to erase flash 1 and put the receiver in the stream for about half hour. I want to make sure before I erase flash 1. Is this necessary?

You don't have to update it that way. Once your card is programmed right and you Aquired the signal process and downloaded the Guide it will ask you to update. Just ok it. Program your card and your ready to go now.

I guess you are talking about programming the card with the Muah All In One Blocker. The problem is that the Muah is the Blocker that I was having so much trouble trying to program to my card before. It has a bin file and a blocker and I am confused as to how I should program it to the card. I need to use DT-Tierworks to remap locals and some other things and that is where the confusion starts. I also have to change the password. I got so frustrated with it before that I gave up on it. That is what got me started with the c0d3sP4c3 Blocker. Any suggestions. Thanks!

If your 301-010 is already flashed with the Public Boxkeys and ird # like you said you did then yes all you need to do is program the card. Your 75% there.... don't give up
To change the password on the Muah AIO just open up the Blocker image in N2Edit.
Then click on EEPROM, then scroll down to line 9878: notice the password is 1122334455667788 (i think or something close) To change this just click on Tools then Apply patch. In the patch window copy and paste a new password.
Example: $9878:ABCDABCDABCDABCD
Fill in the X's with your password and copy and paste it in the Patch window.
$9878:XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Then click on file and save the image. Your password is now changed. Close it out and Open it up again and scroll down to line 9878 to make sure it has changed.
Next, open up Mr.tierworks and Remap your locals or add tiers, update the keys...whatever you need to do then click on Modify Bin File. Then select the blocker file that has your changed password in it. Click on Modify. Wait a few seconds for it to mod it then it should say
Patch: to Muah sucessful now go write to card and enjoy.
Sorry if im just confusing you more. my text communications suck. You are so close my friend keep stabbing at it, you will get it.

I have changed the Password and saved the new image. When I go into Mr. Tierworks and enter the ird info, I know that I enter the boxkeys and ird info that you gave me earlier. But what about the cam info? Do I still use the cam# on back of the card? Also, last night when I tried to update the keys in Mr. Tierworks, the program would show error and close out. Is there another way to do this or was the other blocker I was using causing the problem? Thanks!

You can just open up Mr.Tierworks and set your expire dates and add your locals. Then click modify. You won't have to enter cam info or boxkeys. All that info will be written to the card when you apply the blocker to the card.
Once you have modified the blocker don't write it to your card yet. To update the keys you can use the Dish 0106 keychanger program. Load the blocker in the keychanger proggy. Click on get keys, apply keys, then save file. Now you can write it to the card.

If you would have checked the replies in your gendt08 post you may have had it running on private #s and codespace buy now.
But I see your getting it going on public stuff, prolly better anyway lots of premade bins to use, you wont have to fuss with your own.
It dont get much easyer to change keys and update than codespace.

I didn't mention gendt08 to him cause i thought it would be a better learning process starting with an AIO as he started with first. I also didn't know he posted a gendt08 thread. I figured after he learned the AIO then he would get a better understanding then advance to making his own Bin then eventually going private with gendt08. Even though were throwing alot of info at him that maybe confusing him i'm sure he's absorbing it and it will all come together in time.

I am sorry that I have not been vigilante in checking my other post. I kinda figured out from reading in the forums that my problem must be that the card and receiver were not married. That's when I started working with Gendto8. I ran into some problems there too. My objective was to at least get this thing up and running. It is finally up but there is a problem with the audio. I did not know that I only needed to add locals to the bin. I had no idea what tiers where already included. I have some double channels which I think could be contributing to the static in the audio. I will try to reprogram tomrrow. It has been a real learning experience trying to get this card and receiver running. I appreciate the great help that I have gotten from both "bud02" and "Sikorsky". I want to learn both methods of testing and hope that one day I will be as knowledgeable as both of you. Thanks again for the help!!!

I got up this morning after having the card and receiver in the stream all night and the static was gone from the audio. I guess it needed time since it had been out of the stream for so long. Video is perfect. I am going out of town to visit relatives today. I will try reprogramming the card to get rid of the double channels when I return. I'll let you know how things go. Once again, I thank everyone for their help and patience.:D

I couldn't tell you why the double channels . I'm thinking maybe your receiver needs to update. The current software revision for the 301-010 is 394 or 396 or something close to that. Make sure in your menu settings you have checked "Update without permission"
Another thing i should of mentioned at the start was to make plenty of copies of your original cam for your card and the original Flashes to your ird. I like to even burn them to a cd cause you never now when your pc's gonna take a crap. Have a good weekend and happy easter!!

I have "Update without permission" checked in the settings menu and it updated when I first hooked it up. I have double channels on WUNC and WUVC. I think these are public access channels. I have a lot of odd networks like KCRA, KGO, KDTV, KUVS, KSPX, KCSM, etc. I think that if I reprogram the card and just modify the locals on the ALL IN ONE, this might clear up the problem. I just got home from out of town and will try it tomorrow. Thanks again for the help.
