coolsat 5000 settings

I have a coolsat 5000 and since it was down I was playing around in the menu auto sat scan mode and now that we have fix have discovered that alot of the channels I used to get I dont now. Figure it was my fiddling that dicked it up. How do I set so I can receive channels again.

ok so this is what i discovered... if i get to channels that I use to get and they are black and i switch off and on recver they come back. But when i scroll to a different sat (i guess) they are black again. i know it's something simple but i can't seem to figure it out. duh
