just outa curiosity what OS are ya'll using on your puterz?,
with the 2.1.5 ppl were having this issue (myself included) and it appeared that one thing we all had in common was that we were using win98,
I have NO problem on my puter with "XP", it openz fine,
but when I try it on my puter with "win98" it always endz with the "corrupt file" msg.,
so I'm curious as to what OS your using because I think it's a compatability problem with win98,....
JMO,....

Thanks for reply kronicSJ . Indeed , I'm using W98 , but this has not been a problem before the last 2 PAL fixes . Has PAL changed to become incompatible with 98 ?

thatz correct,
it has just started with the last two versions of phoenix,
it may have, maybe it just geared towards "XP" and newer versions of win., dunno know for sure, but do know that all that are having the problem seem to all be running 98,....

I get it using XP or Win98
Has anyone found out how to fix the "File Corruption" when using Win98??? I'm trying to get the Phoenix Atmega Loader v2.6.0 to run on win98. Exact same file runs in XP but I need it to run on 98.
First, I don't use that software but standing back and reading the problems I'd hazard a guess and/or question.
Versions of 'Doze prior to XP were FAT based (File Allocation Table) and one had the choice to use 32 or 64 bit.
Doze XP uses NTFS , which is completely different and borrowed from their now extinct 'future high O/S' of years past.
So are the FAT based people using 32 or 64?
Also a XP user echoed the same problem, after D/L are you guys shutting off all AV and other shit running in the background that isn't necessary??
Perhaps a needless post but if it helps one person, worth the time to enter it.
