O.K. I GIVE UP.... Somebody tell me what to do Please..

I have a USB256 which for the last month plus I have been trying to get working ..
I have plastic 102 using RC wich works fine but I want to use the atmega for the A-R.
I have taken the bin from the 102 and loaded it onto the atmega using USBATMEGA 6.4 checked IRD and cam #'s are good inserted into IRD and it reads correct card # and IRD # goes thru the the 1 thru 5 steps loads info up comes the channels to view and all I get is the header across the top of the screen then it goes blank, no piture no sound !!
I can go to dish interactive and it will open that up and show tv, it will show dish how-to junk, but it will not show anything else??

I have tried Eginma bins, Dark Tier bins, Mr teirworks bins all with the same results
My ird is a 301-10 software is the current update ver 393, pc is a dell E310 running XP-pro.
This USBAtmega is starting to drive me crazy ddddddddthat's all folks

I always tell folks to start with public numbers with the USBatmega256. Then you can use the stock .bin and it should work. Then mess around with trying to go private info. Lots of mixed results with private info and the usbMega.

yes I tried the supplied bin, same results read info goes thru steps 1 - 5
loads info and still blank. I think I'm going to do what JT suggests, I've got a couple of 3900 and another 301-010. I will mod the tsop to the public numbers and see what happens if still no go Then I think all I bought 2 months ago is a piece of wafer board !!1.
I have another question maybe someone can answer, coming off a twin dish set-up, one for 110 & 119 and one for 148 using a sw-21 switch to a single input line can I hook up a splitter and run two boxes ? I would assume yes, but have to ask anyways.
Thanks for the reply guys.

one time it will say card not authorized for this reciever push sysinfo and it will go to step one of 5 and precede to start up onlt to come and say your card is authorized yet call 1-800-blah blah blah (DISH) and the ird is frozen comments????

Just a thought. After you changed to public number did you do a sector erase and let the ird stream the latest ware?

After you finish programming your 256, manually type in the current keys and click WRITE. Then close the program. Don't count on your bin to write the proper keys. It doesn't always happen. The program's default keys are "FF" and if that's what gets written and the autoroll isn't working correctly, which is no rare occurence - then no TV for you.

As for SCNIC errors these are commonplace for the 256 and you'll just have to reboot the IRD and/or do a card pull-n'-push until it stops.
