Hey Fub, leave personal ambitions off and don't disapoint your supporters, would you?
It is unbelievable that USB atmega is still unsupported...
This is real crap, your pride goes against your customers.
Sad.

so WTF is going on? Is the 3rd party support ready or what. Are we gonna be able to use these FKING CARDS again or what?
I dont even have a parallel port to prog my 128. I'm not spending 25$ on a fking USB to PARALLEL that probably wont even work with Jeepers or Phoenix. So WTF now.
I thought these cards were the new SHIT. Fu ck 128

New USBAtmega256 6.05 fix is out. Get it where you usually get it.

Does this mean that the bitchers and whiners are going to stop "contributing"?

Well, this bitcher and whiner feels the fix was LONG OVERDUE. If you buy that entire "third party" story, I am happy for you. Fab5 buys a new compiler while telling us he hopes someone else will take over support of the card. If that all adds up to you, great. Something smells here and finally delivering a fix doesn't change that. Here's hoping the card can keep up with the Atmega 128 at some point in the future. The cycle of kissing ass and whining is pitiful. So, I don't kiss ass.

Finally our prayers have been listened...
But nobody can say we are not patient enough I guess.
Hope it works.

No, they will just move on to something else like they always do :D

No, they will just move on to something else like they always do :D Complaining about the lack of support over the past two weeks was completely justified. The entire episode left users wondering what in hell was going on as Fab5's explanation made no sense. Looked like he was testing the waters for going the pay support route. Some of us do not complain often, but when it's justified I am going to bitch. That's what makes this forum tick. An exchange of ideas.
I think your probably right about fab5 testing the waters for paid support. Only fab5 knows for sure what happened. If v6.05 lasts past Thursday or Friday I'll be impressed. Until then, as far as I'm concerned all that's happened is the guy who committed himself to providing support finally has. Fab5 has hinted that he doesn't have the time or the will to produce twice weekly updates. We'll see how it goes, but I don't think this issue will be over anytime soon.

Version 6.05 will probably go down with the next unsupported mapcall. 3B? 36? Who knows? Most of these mapcalls are simple to fix. The Phoenix gang had the last one fixed almost immediately.
Fab5 wants out. That's my take on it. All he has to do is release the details on how to read and write to the card. If no one picks up the ball, I will not be complaining. I would consider that fair. Fab5 need not support the thing if he cannot find the time.

This is the problem with only one person coding for these cards. It may be a good question for me (anyone else) to ask when buing future producst. How well are these devices being supported. Insted of jumping on em cause its a new item. Mine ran for 3 weeks and then took a crap. Lot of money to spend for only working 3 weeks. (Atmega256 Not Detected error) AND it can't even get the locals.

Those that think we are just suppose to keep quiet while other new purchasers of the card get screwed is a load. A little heads up prior to purchase is a good thing me thinks!

Those that think we are just suppose to keep quiet while other new purchasers of the card get screwed is a load. A little heads up prior to purchase is a good thing me thinks! I couldn't agree more, 18dd2. The Single Coder has proven to be a significant issue for both the Enigma and the USBAtmega256. Fab5 told potential buyers he would release the read/write details so they could load other coder's stuff to the card. Of course, that never happened and such a failure to deliver leaves buyers vulnerable to complete support failures like we have just seen. Buyers beware.
You bitch when it does nto work, you bitch when it does. What the fuck is your problem man? Go bitch about the Arms for a change will ya?
