hey wiley. i was trying to help someone in another post and ended up hi jacking it. i emailed them there cool. this could end up helping them so i moved this over.

but yes.
make a fake 102.bin for your 622 ect type rec. load pal up with your priv # from your fake .bin after load save the eprom re-load my flash then reload your saved eprom.make sure the eprom is loaded last. then test and see what we get. thing are boring and i figured the 103 to 206 is working for peeps why not atmega.

post # 1. c/p the link then do the steps in # 3 for eprom.

i would realy like some feedback if it works. any body that has a rec that needs 206 to run give it a try. if all goes well then big jump for the testing comm.

if the 103 to 206 works then it should work. cant wait to hear back!!!

it's not a pfg. because of the private info on these type i dont think they will run on no rsa private mode. if they do then i will shoot out a pfg. just as easy as pfg.

it's been a few days now. nobody wants to confirm this. w@w i guess thre is no need to save those cards. i'm guessing A nobody has these type rec. B nobody actualy does testing just watching. i would if i had a box in need of a 206 card.

well guess i will test it on a 510 or simular.

geesh, I wish I had a VIP ird to test this script!

Can a 501 PVR use this script?

well you can try. i am afraid they have the update ready for card swap and if you pop it in a rec that is running 102 it might take a stream update and force you to only use 206 from there on. not that it cant be fixed or even confirm it would happen but i am running a 522 that runs on 103 that for sure i couldnt fix if it did.
going to test on a 301.

Just got back in town. So, as a prelude for 206 spoof, I thought I'd take the first step, which is to try rom103 emluation on the atmega on a 522 receiver, which has been running st19xl fine. I used PAL 2.2.7 and selected rom103 mode, and pointed it to my rom103 bin for private data. Programmed fine and inserted in 522 receiver. It seems to work ok, reporting itself as a rom103 rev 38C, but all my tiers are green. I'm using the same tiers in PAL that works for other receivers in rom102 mode.

Did you need to do anything different to your tiers for rom103 emulation?

hitec: can you spoof and try 206 on your ird... please report success. thanks!

I'm getting there, though if I can't get plain rom103 emulation running correctly first, I'm not sure I want to spend too much time on it. st19xl emulation works fine for 206 spoof right now, and is easier to update keys, as the rom103 emulation can't autoroll. With the atmega, you'd have to pull it out to update each time the keys change.

searchy4, forgot to ask if your flash was for atmega 128 or atmega 256

103 works just fine.been using for months. with pal 2.2.6(not that version whole time). after you get it working. save your eprom in pal. then load this flash then re-load your saved eprom.

it's for 128
as for auto roll i think it might just as long as they stop changing the auto roll methode b7. on the other hand st19 you need that computer next to your box.

Ok, here are some results:

rom103 mode on 522 receiver - works fine. I hadn't played around with atmega for a while and my tierx.lst file was out of date, but once I fixed that, it works fine.

Next I tried the 206 spoof bin on the 522. It runs and correctly reports its revision, but no video or even 005 nag. Just black screen. Previews come in fine. I then tried editing my rom103 flash the same way, to spoof rom206 rev 78A. Same results.

I got the same results on the 622, except that I noticed that HD fucntionality wasn't enabled, and the HD channels were red. I managed to fix that by editing the tiersx.lst file, but still no video obviously.

So, it's interesting. With st19xl, I can take a current rom103 cor file from the 522 and use it on the 622 (with a 206 maxmel). But it doesn't seem to work for the atmega. It could be that the rom206 caid results in some messages the atmega doesn't support, hence no video.

I'll play with it a bit more when I get more time, but for the time being, it's back to st19xl emulation. Seems like it wouldn't take much to make it work....

ok. i tested on 510.same rsults black screen with audio.

w@w. gives me something to play with. start setting up for the furtare.wonder what the .cor has thats so diff. i noticed my cam on my 206 started at s01 rather then s00. hmmmmmmm.
cool.i will tinker with it. now i know it can be tested on another rec.
