i want to change 18.ooo mhz Crystal to 18.432 mhz Crystal
is the main chip on board the same as a 256 or not

Not sure what you are asking.
The Atmega AVr Microcontrollers used on these cards 128 (64 PIN) / 256 (64 PIN) (And soon..Xmega (64 PIN) Are all the basically the same. Except for differences in ram. If you want to change the crystal from 18mhz to 18.432mhz should be no problem. But my question would be ..Why? If 18 works, then why mess with it.
Now if its a 256 then you could move up to a 24mhz Xtal. I don't discourage people from playing, but if its mounted in a PTH (Plated Thru Hole) config then it is harder for the average user to remove and replace, if its SMT (Surface Mount) then its a little easier.
