Hi, I want to point my 33" dish towards amc4 (101 degrees West) using my coolsat 6000. I've got a linear ku lnb but I'm not sure if it's standard or universal.

1) Given the fact that I'm not sure if my lnb is standard or universal, what configuration must I have under "Lnb Type"?

2) How can I determine if my lnb is universal or standard lnb?

Thanks

Not sure on your coolsat, But on my pansat I have two signal bars,
1 signal
2 quality
If the lnb type is set wrong it shows signal but zero quality.

Maybe this helps out

I think you misunderstood me, I still haven't pointed my dish towards amc4. I'm not sure if I have a standar or universal lnb. How do I find out what type lnb I have, or does it not matter the lnb type that I configure my receiver to?

Thanks.

One option would be to take the model # off trhe LNB and put it in google whos knows what you may find.

You should be able to do as Birdie described even before repointing the dish.

Standard 10750 for local Freq with the linear LNB you should be good for the dish settings from there.
