External Max/mel emu

I have a modded VIP 622 (card slot active) receiver.

If I decide to use an emulator setup, can I simply buy an EXTERNAL Max/mel (like the one Mili sells)?

Can I use that?

I am confused, as Digital Tech (modder of 622 VIP) offers an internal emulator solution...

I amjust wondering if I dont buy his internal max/mel, can I buy Mili's extrenal and use it instead?

Also, is Mili's external Max/Mel universal? Will it work with ANY ird with an active card slot?

I can tell you for sure that mili's external max/mel will work in any receiver with an active card slot. That 622 will almost certainly have to have some work done to "activate" the card slot though. I'm pretty sure the wiring diagrams are in the files somewhere.

well, if my 622 ird is modifeied to work with a rom103 plastic....then the card slot should be active correct?

So does that mean I can use it with an external max/mel?

Without seeing it first hand, it sure sounds like it should work. Assuming the card slot is already activated.
