so i was cleaning up my garage and i saw my dp 301 that i bought from wal-mart a while ago so i hook it up to the tv put the card in but i dont see green light in the front no power? anybody know a solution thanks

Did you press the power button? Pull the card out and put it back in and let us know if the green light came on or not. By pulling the card out and putting it back in usually give a green light for a few seconds.

Check the fuse inside... did you ever "test" with this particular receiver (has it ever been JTAG'd)?
DP301's are known for power supply problems.

checked fuse its fine never jtaged havent tested not yet with this one

try jtagging it and see if it shows any thing in jkeys

must i say its a 301-13 no vid mod on it yet and if jkeys detects anything what should i do?

you cant do anything till it is vidmodded as far as jkeys goes
well you can pull your box keys but as for writing a new flash it will need a vidmod
Is the light not flashing at all. maybe it just wants a update from the birds if you have not used it in awhile
no sys info screen or nothing?

I don't really know if this will help out. this helped me out for legacy Receiver's.... Hook it all up normally, satellite wire and all. Plug the receiver in..( DONT HAVE THE CARD IN when doing that.) TURN THE CARD OVER and put it in the receiver. So the receiver thinks there is a card in it. Let it stream for like 30 minutes...Pull the card out and put it back in. UP SIDE DOWN. ( Or if the card is blockered don't worry... I had to do this alot.. But they were 2700 to 4900. I'm guessing the receiver needed an update.
You said it has not been pluged in for Awhile right.
Try it...-------But make sure the card is up side down...

Did you have the satellite wire in the receiver? did you have the card up side down? did you let it sit for a while to see if it will stream update? That receiver is SO out of date.
