Need some tips to get back in the game

Hi All,

I stopped at ROM 10 several years back due to job changes and new member in the family and I am trying to get back into the game. I need some tips to get started.

I have the following left over from Hu and ROM 10 game:

Several 301.10/301.11 receiver and 1 501 DVR (All receivers with lock). 1 Extreme ISO unlooper, 1 mutipurpose ISO reader/wrter, 5 ROM 10 card (all open), 2 ROM 101 and 2 ROM 102 card. ALL ROM 101 and 102 cards has been out of stream for over three years.

Question:

1.- What program/scripts do I need to unlock ROM 101 and 102?
2.- Do I need any mods to the ISO unlooper?
3.- What's a good free blocker out there?

1. Don't bother with the 101...they are only up sporatically when Charlie pulls the MAPs. For your ROM102...use RM-1A or RM-1C (available in the files section- free after midnite).
2. Don't know about thise one...why not be sure and get a Nexus from Mili or a PowerSync from Mulestomp. Stay away from fleabay!!!
3. Many good free blockers... just look around the files section.

I have just seen too many people get taken for a ride...and if you are buying things like loader/glitcher (which have no other practical use) and the seller is not shielding your identity, then you are asking for trouble. (Even if he is, if there is a VERO violation, Fleabay will provide your info).

And Fleabay/Paypal give up personal info WAY TOO EASY when one of their VERO partners (Charlie/Bev) ask for it.

Believe me, my neighbor used to sell receivers with JTAG cables attached on Fleabay and got a phonecall from SI stating they knew who he was and he should not list any more receivers on Fleabay with JTAG cables or they would pursue him... not a letter, a phonecall. When he asked how they got his number, they indicated that he was in violation of the VERO policy on Fleabay and Fleabay provides personal information to the companies that own the trademark/copyright for legal purposes.

So I would be careful about anything you get on that service. If you can, use a prepay creditcard and a P.O. Box.

Correction:

the ISO that I have was a modded Mikobu III and a multipurpose ISO from TJ's Radiotronic. He seems to have wrapped up the business.

Does anyone know any of these ISO is good on ROM102?

I agree with you that you need to be careful when buying these stuff on fleebay. My first year with fleebay, I sold large quantities of stuff and Paypal freeze up my account for 5 months without giving me an acceptable reason. They finally un-freeze my account, however I will never ever leave a penny in my Paypal account.

First of all, we need to know what rev the card is at, check it with your ISO programmer and let us know. When you say "modded Mikobu III", does it have the 4619 chipset installed? If the card is under rev 105, it should be easily unlockable with the latest script(s)...Wiley-X is an unlocking GURU here, also LocoMex can help you out...
