Thanks for the effort and time! Thanks to the others that directly and indirectly contribute to the effort as well.
btw- I don't see anything wrong with posting links to cc. SJ seems to think that could be an issue, and maybe it might be, but I don't think so.

A C & P for sLaShEr

Running XP in virtual machine using tiny XP, has not been a problem before. virtual ports com4--com6 with ultraux connecting to com4 and st19 expecting at com6 (and tried it the other way as well, not that I actually expected different results). This is with a known working 311/max and mel setup.
ultraaux 107b or c dont last 30 seconds after sat fully acquired. I think same map3b error each version, will get more data if you need any (as if LB and/or sLaShEr probably aren't already swamped with replies).
Not totally sure it's the software, I had to recreate the tiny xp image because the old one became corrupted and I misplaced the backups. It was working fine when map calls were not an issue. If people are NOT having this issue please let me know so I can be sure.
Oh,, Thanks to you both LazyBastard and sLaShEr for giving me something to do in my spare time!

Definitely looks like a communications problem.
Executing AUX function 0x03 (Store in RAM - Storing 232 Bytes at 0x0200)
232 bytes is too big for the registers - that is an invalid packet for sure.

I tried this with 2.6.30 and 2.7.2 and both give me a black screen and ST19(and the IRD) seems to be resetting each time. Is there a better version to use with this?
I can't tell you for sure what the issue is, probably your .cor file, but I can assure you the new auxshare works cardless with both providers. It took him a few versions, but slasher got it going.

working great here with st19xl 2.7.0.2
thanks for all the hard work slasher!!

It's not the .cor cause I just changed that and updated every last byte to make 100% certain. Any patches to it I should have applied that aren't already on any of the latest uploaded?
I'm getting a 371 nag as soon as the channel data is done loading and the channels(or most of them) are red in the channel guide. Or it'll load and I'll get nothing but black video.
This is all with the latest ultraaux and st19 2.7.0.2. 301-010.

same thing here, black screen with 2702 and 2705 both.
c/p from a post at cardcoders: thanks to the original poster (if you want to run cardless...)
For BEV which went down sometime this afternoon use:
PGM's st19xl 2.7.05 and Slasher's newest UltraAux 1.0.7c.
For Dish which has been down for about a week use
PGM's st19xl 2.7.02 and Slasher's newest UltraAux 1.0.7c.
Oh, too, this combination is tested and working. Not by me of course. I live outside the coverage area for both of the northern providers.

Interesting. Can run cemu with same #s, but no ST. Tried an ST cor from 2 weeks ago, still nada.
maybe have to revert to public #s with ST...

Yeah, I just checked and I can use cemu but still nothing outta ST19. Everything is the exact same. I'm using the right version of ST19, the .cor is fine as far as I can tell, I don't know what else to check.

Is there any chance that this could have something to do with the version of the software on the IRD? I just discovered that I'm at P394, though I didn't tell it to take any updates.
I'd redownload your auxshare and your st19 versions. That firmware version is fine....although I'm pretty sure on of mine force updated to P450 last night.

phreakydave its prolly your cor file thats the problem .. im running just fine on p394 which they forced that update on me.
better hurry and get it up cause i logged some changes in the stream last night and they just changed the PID 0106 keys today

Nope, isn't my cor file. I just reflashed the IRD back to P247 and now I've got video. Though I'm getting some freezing, it's far better than what I had before.

ST19 is currently down.
....currently down on Dish only. Bev's still running. And although I haven't tried it, I bet Dish is still up with an aux rom.

No Its Down! Freezing real bad.
Yep, looks like all st19 is down for now with Dish. Bev is still running fine though with and without an aux.

Question for Slasher;
Running new pc with vista home basic, using a usb to serial adapter. It works fine with cemu, but the same settings I used before for ST do not work on this pc.
According to VSP when I open its window, only the first virtual port is opening, and the 2nd remains closed. I have tried changing the virtual ports and every combo does the same. The result is, if i use any start bat file that has the cmd line with -m , it scrolls and resets as soon as I exe the start bat. If I remove the -m setting, it scrolls as soon as I plug in the ird. And in every attempt, all I see on the tv is error 19.
My aux ini is set at card com1 (the usb port), and the client is com3. The cmd line is:
START "ultraaux" ultraaux
START "ST19XL" ST19XL.EXE -s -o -pe1 -pa4 st19.cor
and of course the virtual ports in this instance are com3-4, but no matter what ports I try, the result is the same. Worked fine on old pc this way. I used to use delays like -a100, but read one of your posts where you told someone to remove all delays with the 107c version. Also tried starting Ultraaux first manually and then ST19.exe, but does the same.

Ok - so it looks like everything is setup ok.
But - when I said to remove the aux delay - that means you only remove the actual delay number from your -a parameter for ST19, but you still need -a.
Change your ST command line to this:
ST19XL.EXE -a -s -o -pe1 -pa4 st19.cor
Now see if both virtual ports in the pair are connected to?
Edit: Always start UltraAux before starting ST.

BTW - you don't need to use the CARD COM=COM1 setting unless you are using an actual smartcard - in which case you have to also turn on the smartcard in your .ini file.

also i know a lot of people overlook the
change that sometimes has to made to AUXSHARE.INI
EMU Client Port
;-------------------------
CLIENT COM=COM4
so the com4 is the first virtual port of the pair you created.

OK, tried first with slashers cmd line
ST19XL.EXE -a -s -o -pe1 -pa4 st19.cor
and manually started ultraaux first, then the st bat..window opens and closes right away. tried to drag the bat to cmd window to see what is missing or wrong but it wont open that way. then tried changing aux ini to card 0 since I have no card, and set port in ini to com4 as per manny beef. Same thing, window opens and shuts right away with the -a in the cmd line.
EDIT: manny, the firtst virtual port is com3, not 4...so do i use 3 or 4 for client ?

OK, got it now so both ports showing open, but still scrolling resets and error 19.

use 3 in your case , you will be good in that regard

Now you need to figure out your reset problem which is likely not related to the software problems that you now seem to have ironed out.
Just so you understand the com port setup you have running:
You have created a virtual pair of ports that are linked to each other in a NULL modem fashion. COM3 & COM4.
ST19 ---> [COM3] <-----> [COM4] <--- Auxshare (Software Aux)
So now ST19 thinks it is talking with a real smartcard. It doesn't matter if ST19 is connected to COM3 or COM4, so long as Auxshare (UltraAux) uses the other port.
