I am in need for large quantities of computer CPUs: 386,486, Pentium, p1,p2,p3,p4 MMX. Intel, AMD or Cyrix etc DEAD OR ALIVE. Will pay by the pound. Email me (mili@dssftp.com) if you got any of them for sale. The more the better.

Oh crap mili. I just threw away 5 old machines after stripping them, including processors. They were really old P1 era. Never even thought about the precious metals aspect of it.

Some great places to check for anyone else looking, hit the surplus/recycling at your closest university or hospital or any major office building if it's big enough I bet.

Most of your Vegas slot gambling machines still use 8-10 MHZ 8088 cpu's.

Some of the stuff uses the Z80 chip.

I noticed a post that mili was looking for CPU's dead or alive.

I fix computers and had a box full of them. destine for the garbage.

If it is really necessary to tell you why I was looking. I was trying to find a better/cheaper supply for sat stuff. The prices here once you factor in everything else are not a big enough savings to bother.

Is mili melting them down for gold? why? you do realize the pins are copper with micro amts of gold coating. The cpu is likely on a .45 micron plateau.

If you are looking at them on ebay. you are getting the cpu only. some sleazy fucker has probably already lifted the pins.

You should find it very disturbing that my simple attempt to be nice finds you suspecting me of something. that's sad.
