setting up st19 with ultra aux107 c

i have been running st19 with rom 103 card , so it seems now we need to use this aux 107 ., as i can never figure the config on these ., i cant make aux 107 communicate with st 19., here is my set up., which i need to change .

aux 107 as i downloaded it it has these setting
client com = com2
card com =come 1

st 19 is set the latest i downloaded , when i open it in a note pad

st19xl.exe/m/a st19.cor

i think i need to rewrite this to make it communicate with the aux 107., so who is willing to help me guys here.

I may be wrong on this but I think that an real aux card is better than ultra aux. I have also read that the latest st19 might work with no aux at all. If you want to run ultra aux, you will need a virtual com port program.

have said this MANY times...
Get an old junker pc with 2 com ports
Get a cheap ISO programmer
Write Perky Aux 1.23.bn103 to your rom103 card/i-cam
Put rom103 cam into ISO programer and hook to com2
Hook emu board to com1
Place the following files onto your floppy: st19.rom, st19.cor, st19xl.exe, autoexec.bat (command line: st19xl.exe /m /s /t /a)
Put bootdisk into junker pc and reboot

NEVER unhook the ISO/rom103 card. Regardless of whether you need the aux or not, JUST LEAVE IT THERE.

ST19XL was written by PGM with a REAL AUX CARD in mind. Hence, the program will ALWAYS be more stable running with REAL AUX compared to auxshare.

Don't get me wrong...The developers of auxshare have done great work, but if you have a REAL rom102/rom103 lying around...USE IT and don't EVER unhook it.

As a matter of fact, a member here (cancom) sells internal ISO programers for ~$25. They stay inside of your junker pc box. The iso was designed with 24/7 emu use. After installing the porgrammer, you forget its even there and its on/working 100 pct. of the time.

my computer was running great with st19 and real rom card., when i replaced the st19 with the new release nothing ., no communication . as a matter of fact 2 computers where working and know not.,so thats why i thought maybe the new st19 needs the new ultra aux or no., but it needs some tweeking.

what model is your ird?? Is it a 522 by chance??
If so, what is the fw revision?

thanx man for been sport ., well i got one computer to work., dont tell me and how., i was up till 2 am last night and i couldnt make them work., (testing indeed). one up the other id down still., i didnt do a thing , nothing just swaped the st19 exe files.
none are 522 just basic 301 single tsop and a basic descktop ., and iam using a real rom 103 card .
anyhow since you here helping ., if i decided to use the ultra aux., as you can see from my 1st post what do i need to change to run for fun the ultra instead the real rom card.

You should have only needed to use the new DOS version if booting off a floppy. no other changes if it worked b4.

Some portions of this 'how-to' are c/p from various sites/documents, I take NO credit.

Software Needed:
ELTIMA Software Virtual Serial Port Driver 6.0
UltraAux 1.07c (NOT the Linux version which is 1.07d)
ST19XL 2.7.09

Steps:

1. Install Eltima Virtual Serial Port software as described below:

Unpack, Install.
Copy cracked files from /iNViSiBLE dir
to C:\Program Files\Eltima Software\Virtual Serial Port Driver 6.0
Be sure to select 'yes' on file replacement warnings.
======================================

2. Start Virtual Serial Port software and create a pair of serial ports.
Select COM4 for the first port and COM6 for the second port, then
click the Add Pair button.

You don't have to do this but if you go into the device manager you
will now see the new COM ports that you have created.

Close The Entima software screen.

3. Create a folder named "UltraAux" in C:/

4. Create a folder named "ST19" in C:/

5. C/P the following UltraAux1.07c files into the appropriate folder in C:/
-EEPROM
-ULTRAAUX.EXE
-AUXSHARE.INI

6. Create a new .txt document in the UltraAux folder. Type the following in the .txt doc:
@echo off
ULTRAAUX.EXE

7. In the .txt doc, go to file/save as. Type the following in the filename box (including the quotes):
"UltraAuxStart.bat"

8. Close the .txt document. You should now see a 'UltraAuxStart' MS-DOS batch file in the UltraAux folder. Right click on the batch file and choose "create shortcut". Move the newly created shortcut to the desktop.

9. Open the AuxShare.ini folder in Notepad

10. Change the following:
CLIENT COM=COM2 -----------to-----------> CLIENT COM=COM4

11. Go to file/save then close notepad.

12. C/P the following ST19 files into the appropriate folder in C:/
-ST19.COR
-ST19.ROM
-ST19XL.EXE (win version 2.7.09)

13. Create a new .txt document in the ST19 folder. Type the following in the .txt doc:
@echo off
ST19XL.EXE /M /S /T /A /PA6

14. In the .txt doc, go to file/save as. Type the following in the filename box (including the quotes):
"st19Start.bat"

15. Close the .txt document. You should now see a 'ST19Start' MS-DOS batch file in the ST19 folder. Right click on the batch file and choose "create shortcut". Move the newly created shortcut to the desktop.

16. On the desktop: double click the "Shortcut to UltraAuxStart" icon
-UltraAux should launch in a dos window and say:
'waiting for client'

17. On the desktop: double click the "Shortcut to ST19Start" icon
-ST19XL should launch in a dos window and say:
'aux card detected: 1.07?'
-Communication with the ird should follow

18. Done...Watch TV




NOTE: When we created a virtual pair of com ports using the ELTIMA Software, we choose the pair: COM4 and COM6.
Thus, we had to specify "COM4" in the "Auxshare.ini" file (step #10). We also had to tell ST19XL where to look for aux
commands, thus we specified COM6 in the "ST19Start.bat" file with the parameter /PA6, (step #13).

You can use ANY pair of com ports that you desire, but...you will have to update the "Auxshare.ini" and "St19Start.bat" files
accordingly.

thanx pecker., i dont like installing that virtual software ., it changes the setting for my serial pmca card (serial card) serial number 2. so i will run rol 3 card better.

anyhow how did 666old666 runing with stand alone st19.?, how and what needs to be edited.?

To use ST19 with Max/Mel on Com1 WITHOUT Aux card:
ST19XL.exe -m
To use ST10 with Max/Mel on Com1 and with Aux rom102-103 real card on ISO on Com2:
ST19XL.exe -a -m
To use ST19 with Max/Mel on Com1 and UltraAux on virtual com pair 4>6 (default)
ST19XL.exe -a -m -pa6 -pe1
Just create a batch file to start the program with like st19.bat and you won't have to type the command line.
