Hi. A firend had recently obtained a 501pvr, but the complaint is that its hard drive is too noisey, particularly the high frequencies. Can anyone recommend a compatible, quieter replacement for its present seagate st340825A (40GB)?

Thanks for the link. The replacement obtained is a maxtor 2F040L0. Trying it out as we speak.
