What is the latest about DN replacing all existing customers access cards with the new G3 blue ones, how does this affect the comunauty of testers?

FTA don't work until not only the card is unlocked, but the MAP cracked and keywords extracted.

Plastic will be the first thing back up... followed by whatever has popular ($$) support.

They won't be up BEFORE the new card is cracked. I will walk you through the process...

(1) Dick or Beverly swaps cards 100% (Everyone but legit is down).
(2) An enterprising young/old man/woman discovers a way to glitch into the card.
(3) Based on the publically available portions of the processor, MAP tables are captured and interpreted (keywords and commands are documented) the stream is logged for proper sequences and structure.
(4) At this point, theoretically it is possible for plastic to be "tested".
(5) A period of time passes... a minute, a month... who knows? The information above is leaked and gets into the hands of emulator builders/coders.
(6) If necessary, new receivers are built and the coders develop the algorythms to defeat the encryption/timing/MAPs.

So if you think you have a "super" FTA... (i.e. an InFusion) then you will be suprised when the card swap occurs. Your FTA will be down like everyone else's. For ANY of us to watch TV, it will require a hack of the new card.

Yes, a lot of former plastic "testers" have switched to FTA... but I am thinking this is from laziness rather than capabilities. I have been "up" on several receivers for almost a year... I know some people that have been up longer than that. No FTA can claim that- they have ALL been down for one reason or another.
