Dp 301 only getting 119 not 100

Hi, I sold a guy a dp 301 013 he emailed me saying that it will not receive the 110 satalite signal he claims he used a couple of diferent dishes.It has been out of the strem since rev 109 could older receiver firmware cause such a problem? He claimed to first try it on a super dish then a dish 500 .One last question what is the latest firmware for a 301 013?Thanks in advance

4.50 is current, but not 100% certain.
yes, old f/w can do this for sure. needs and update. did he do a checkswitch?

First rule of hand....if you sell a receiver, update it to the current firmware. Otherwise you are asking for trouble (especially if selling to newbies).
