why my 301.010 power up then shuts off

for about a month or longer now ive been using my backup ird 3900 cause my 301.010 must have got updated and now after it gets the signal dwnloaded you'll watch tv a few sec/ min and it will cutt off.Is this like a ecm thats in the stream i know before if it got hit it would say u got a serious prob w ur reciever but now this.Will i have to jtagg it again to fix thanks

You need to re-flow the small IC in the tuner section. Pull the cover find the small metal box where you plug in the sat feed, remove the small metal cover now you will see the small ic im talking about. Get a hot air or heat gun and apply the heat on the ic while applying a small amount of pressure this will cause the solder to re-flow and result in a better ground. Not everyone wants to try this

A search for "conexant chip" should pull up some good explanations about what were talking about. These 301.10/3100 boxes are notorious for this problem....assuming that's what it is.
