stubborn 4900

greetings i have a 4900 on dn that will not recognize a sat. when it is turned on it says searching for sat but it goes to default instead of 119 or 110 i tried to do a check switch and it will not detect a switch at all. anybody know how to force it to do a check switch? any help is appreciated thanks.:confused:

How old is your firmware? The latest for your model is P236 (Aug'07). If you have really old firmware sometimes you will have to hook it up to a known-good dish (already pointed) with legacy LNB and let it sit until it takes an update.

or...

JTAG it and write the latest firmware to it.
