I haven't looked at 105 for almost a year, there is nothing on this sat since the latest 110 spots came into use, maybe Sioux City. You would have better luck on sat 129, Conus coverage and Charlotesville,VA some stations in W.VA are on this sat.
Here is the Lyngsat listing for 105, don't count on this information, this is outdated info.

You didn't state your location, I assume you are not on the east coast since you want to receive the Redskins games, the home games are usually on stations with 3 to 4 hundred miles of Washington.
The further west and south the reception location the better chance of getting 129 on a 18 inch dish. I have found 129 on a slightly larger dish and both times Sat 129 was found by accident, so it is not that difficult. The last time I saw 129, it was found between trees, I was surprised to see 129 and that is in the Washington DC area.
SC is easy to find 129 because of the flat terrain. Remember to receive 129 you will need a circular LNB, not a linear as used for 105.l

I have a super dish with the 105 Linear LNB. If you want to pick up 129 you will need a single circular LNB, they are cheap on fleabay. The description is like this :
LEGACY DUAL LNB LNBF BEV DSS FTA SATELLITE DISH NETWORK (http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGACY-DUAL-LNB-LNBF-BEV-DSS-FTA-SATELLITE-DISH-NETWORK_W0QQitemZ260267619712QQcmdZViewItem?hash=i tem260267619712&_trkparms=72%3A134%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318)
Cost 20 bucks or less shipped. This will fit a 18 inch dish. The legacy is the older type LNB, DP is newer, don't try to mix Legacy and DP LNB, stay with the same type.

Yes, a 500 will pick up sat 129, I have picked up 129 with a 500 dish. Remember a 500 dish is designed to pick up 2 satellites 9 gb apart (ie 110 and 119), it doesn't matter which 9gb spectrum space you select and long as you pick up a circular polarized satellite Uou can also only pick up one satellite. I would suggest you use the dish you already have and see if you get sat 129, if you receive sat 129, you know it is possible, go back to what ever the dish you have is used for, then buy the LNB single for the 18 inch dis. By the way the device called LNB means a Low Noise Block, some call it a LNBC meaning Low Noise Block Converter.

Yes, a 2800 is a Dish Legacy receiver, this means you should have a legacy type LNB. Look on the LNB, if you see DP (Dish Pro) you will not get all the H & V polarity transponders without a converter (Dish Pro to Legacy)
