VIP Recivers Hacked an easier way?

hey just curious I've been reading in other forums "with a grain of salt" that there is and will be released in the future a much easier way to hack the VIP receivers. Does anyone have anymore light to shed on this, they claim that you won't even have to open them up or solder anything!?

It's called subbing. There is no easy way to hack a VIP. The only reliable method right now is changing out the BGA Processor for one with known numbers and keyset and using a ROM103 spoofed to ROM206.

IF the cards or BGA's are opened and the revision you have can be opened, and it is a former sub, you would be able to use a hack with proper programs...which would be much much easier than the current hack. of course, this is all assumption and speculation at this point.

Well the VIPs that come with a ROM102/103 can be done (as long as they are previous sub'd).

But every VIP that I have seen (people drop them by my shop everyday) has a 206 in it.

I don't think that it's worth $900+ to buy a BGA programmer to program the chips myself at this point. And finding a ROM103 that has an unlockable REV around these parts is like finding an Obama supporter at the Republican Convention.

And the only reliable autoroll blocker out there that spoofs the 206 is "Jaws" (as far as I've seen).

You're misinformed. JAWS does not autoroll the 206 nor 241 spoof.

Hopefully the card swap will make VIP receivers easy to hack, just cross your fingers, if you are not subbed do it to get the new card in the mail and then cancel.
