i think you may need to find
yourself a CSCA TSOP
and CSCV will be the eeprom bld config
CSCV=CSCA They're the same thing depending on which proggy you used to save the image. Also, 2700=2800=3700 model wise. All use the same firmware now.
buddy had a 2800 for dish with private keys and i jtaged it with no rsa and now the reciever wont power up any ideas im positive i didnt short it out anywhere and i checked the fuse inside and is fine

When you say you jtaged it did you write an image back to the ird? if you did then you may have wriiten a bad flash. Check the image you wrote to it and make sure you can open it in flash edit in beginer mode and not advance. If it opens with no errors then the image is good if not then you know the answer.buddy had a 2800 for dish with private keys and i jtaged it with no rsa and now the reciever wont power up any ideas im positive i didnt short it out anywhere and i checked the fuse inside and is fine

Make sure you flashed the correect build for your box. For a legacy receiver, it's "Best" to match at least the first three letters of the Build Config (white sticker on your motherboard). If you match just two, it's usually not good enough and you get the "No Power" symptom.
Mili has a lot of flashes, if you can't find the one you are looking for, PM me- I have a healthy selection of builds.

i checked in flashedit and begginer and fine and the flash i wrote was a CSCD build and the motherboard was a CSCV build so it should have been fine and when i jtag it all wrote fine but no power when i try to run it ??????????????? thanks for the answers

Try CSCA if you can find one it should worki checked in flashedit and begginer and fine and the flash i wrote was a CSCD build and the motherboard was a CSCV build so it should have been fine and when i jtag it all wrote fine but no power when i try to run it ??????????????? thanks for the answers
that is the one i used and dont work ,when i read it in jkeys it says its all wrote good but the reciever wont boot up ,that is my problem ,if it would turn on then i could see if it was a good tsop i used but it wont boot ,any reson why it wont start now?????
i used a CSCA and it all wrote good but the reciever wont boot up now ,when i read it in jkeys it says it all wrote good but reciever wont turn on now to check to see if it was a good tsop ,so if someone can send me a good CSCA tsop that they know works with no rsa mod then i can rule that out for why the reciever wont boot ,thanks

The light don't flicker does it? thats a sign of corrupt flash and its tryin to stream a new one. Jtag back in, corrupt SA5 (erase it) and stream to download the latest firmware.. just hope you don't have a switch or it will never download cause you don't have it setup. If your numbers are all right tho it will download the latest tsop for those numbers. I found that to be the easiest solution. Hopefully you can jtag back into it.
You could alternativly flash the original back to it to ensure it works, then edit your numbers with that firmware and flash it back, power up and setup signal/switches, then erase SA5 and stream the new TSOP.. Up to you. I find the easiest solution in this hobby is starting over from scratch.. with jtag/firmwares that sometimes has to be done several times..
k i got the light back on but now theres no sat signal and i remember with 2700s that the first line in flashedit to change the last 2 numbers to 00 or 01 or somthing to get the signal back does anyone know what the first line should be
my first line is this 43 53 43 41 00 00 01 02

did u save the private tsop that was working on it?
flash that back on and see if the issues exist. if so, assuming all was working with the original tsop, then its not the tsop. if the issues are gone, then for sure its the tsop.

when i saved the origanal and tryed to change the boxkeys etc in flashedit it gave me a checksums error when i tryed to save the rewritten file

I presume you have a switch too? Theres a voltage check you can do on the IRD. have to search, it should be 18VDC I think out of the coax. This powers your LNB so you can find a signal. If you don't have that your tsop is likely bad.. reflash TSOP and a virgin EEPROM maybe..
really theres so many avenues you have to play with it until it 'works', post questions or use the search button. Usually if it don't work - its best to start out with what you have known working
ya i have a switch and is working fine on my other reciever ,i just remember that if your not getting a signal after you flash a 2700 then change the last two numbers on the first line in flashedit but i cant remember what to change it to

If the firmware is a older version you may need to connect it directly to sat 119 and let it update first, Then connect the switch again. Most of the old firmware causes a no signal problem.

very true, I forgot about that.. I experienced this exact problem before, but the firmware I had one was VERY old... more than a few revs.

These old units are pretty forgiving on mismatched tsop builds, Usually if they have any problem it is a sound issue either none or distorted.
Did you create and write a virgin eprom to go with the tsop image? There are also Bev and Charlie versions for this older model. Got to gets the right provider for what your aimed at.

There is another thread named " No Power" continuing this thread so I am closing this one.
http://www.dssftp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79548
Went ahead and merged them Birdie. That way we can leave it open and hopefully keep it all in one thread.
As a last resort, you can force an upgrade to latest firmware on that model by erasing SA5 and restreaming. Haven't heard of any issues with the latest firmware with these antiques. ;) (it's a great box, but it is old)
k i hooked up just the 119 sat and still dosnt show anything on the signal meter the software shows 834p in jkeys ,im thinking its just a bad tsop and the origanal i have is corrupted to so can anyone just send me a tsop of CSCV or CSCA and we can go from there ,and belive me inm not a normal bin begger ,thanks
You can trick the provider into giving you an uncorrupted tsop image by erasing the sector and restreaming, even if it's already at latest firmware. That will prolly be quicker and easier than to keep messing with it.
but if im not getting a sat signal then how am i gonna get an update
