2800 needs to be unlocked?

I have a Dish 2800 and when I try to navigate to any channel or menu it asks me for the unlock code. Is there a way to unlock it without knowing the code that someone had used to lock the menu? I got the Tsop from the file section with public numbers. Any help????

Sometimes a new TSOP will do weird things with the password. When it asks for the password, try hitting the right arrow button four times then push ENTER. If that doesn't work you may have to reflash the receiver.

I've reflashed the tsop a few times but its still there. I'll try the right arrow button trick and see what happends.... Well I just try that and still locked.... Back to the drawing board !!!

Try.... MENU - 6 - 3 - RIGHT ARROW - LEFT ARROW - INFO - TV/VIDEO (very quickly).
Then pull your plug and plug it back in...should remove all passwords.

Wonka Eeprom reader..jtag it to save eeprom then open Wonka and it tells you a whole lot of info.

password is stored on the eprom, not the tsop. read the eprom, save eprom, open with flashedit, then save as virgin, write virgin eprom back to box and password will not be there. Your may have to enter null password as described above.

Ok I got it unlocked.... what I had to do was to go to the menu then 5 (Locks) when asked for a password I just arrowed over to the ok button with out hitting any numbers then hit the select key on the remote. It unlocked everything. All channels were locked, all ratings were checked. So I had to edit everything after getting it unlocked. Works GREAT now. Thanks for all the help !!!! (-:
