New 9fEMM Patch for what?

Hi guys,

I read that d*sh implemented a new map call today, 8/13/08, and that we would need to wait for a new patch for the Rom 102 cards. All I did was manually update the keys on my card and I'm up and running. Can anyone clarify why a new patch is needed?

They may have updated the MAP, but maybe it is not active yet. I thought that it would only become active when DISH implements new 0106 keys.

I will try current keys on my card, and if it works then I know to put the new MAP on once the 0106 keys change. Generally, in the past I have just waited before adding the new MAP.

Thanks for your reply. Someone in this forum mentioned that the 0106 keys also changed, today. I doubt it's true because the sites still have the same 0106 keys, posted. Besides, all I did was change the 0101 keys and I'm up and running.

When 0106 key change and you don't have new map for it, you will get 005 nag so until you get that, keep watching tv without doing anything.

When DB posted the new mecm just before July 10 (when the 106 key changed).
That mecm had all submodules open and if you patched that to you bin you WONT go down when there is a new map call.
Other mecm patches only allowed certain submodules to be open.
