Locked out of rom102

Been tying to get the 301 10 ird and rom102 rev10C to work, but it's not happening. I'm very close, cuz I was getting nag 005 "your smart card have no author...", but I never got any picture. I'm using - Modded D*shWiz Blocker - No Autoroll Rev10C + $9F Update Patched mUAHing - blocker. Didn't know what could it be, so I pached MECM's from 6/27and 7/10, that didn't work, then I found MECM's for rom102 from 7/23, so I pached that, but sill nothing.
Now, 10 min ago I patched it with - c0d3sP4c3_-_v16.0_Hot_Fix_v12_MECM_40_Update-2of4mod- and I locked my self out. Can't unlock , read, or write it. I was trying to use my password that I always use, but it will not unlock it.

I'm back in the game. Just unlocked it. Took only 6 seconds.
And now I'd like to ask what all do I need to put on my card to make it work. I'd like to stay away from codespace patches or fixes, because that's what got me locked out. Would it be the receiver ? The last time it was used, was april 2004. Should I let it update ? (probably)

Take the update on the ird if it has 2004 firmware or it will not work. Also although you added the mecm patches to the D*shwiz blocker it's not an autoroll. You will have to update the latest keys to the bin.

I agree with Chill...sounds like you didn't update the 0101 and 0106 keys before writing. The latest MECM patch is important, but if you are running non-AR, you have to have the latest keys.

I think I have the keys up to date. I did them in KOP Key Patcher and I also looked them up on milli's , TVkeys and Dish Junkie site just to confirm they are right. I never run AutoRoll blocker.

I always use the old 106 key update proggie. The website no longer auto-updates, but I manually insert keys in the blanks and it always works for me.

How did you get your card unlocked? I c0d3sP4c3_-_v16.0_Hot_Fix_v12_MECM_40_Update-2of4mod- and I locked my self out as well. What did you do? I've tried multiple passwords and I get nothing. I'm wondering if I ended up puttin it in the receiver without a lock and got the card updated?? now it reads 102 10c

I programmed mine with AIO CF 81 bin file I picked from dsstester, updated keys with KOP updater that came with the bin file and it is working flawlessly. ALL channels wide open.

I did it with RomMaster_LOEv1C.
Open XP Atmel and Flash your unlocker with RSX1 (1 & 6 down), then Open RomMaster_LOEv1C and click on "run RMS" (2 & 5 down). That's how I got it unlocked. No other way did work for me.

I have an unlocker coming. My card was unlocked and I think I unlocked it with the password then just tried to apply a patch without loading a good image. Or I stuck it in the receiver without a blocker on it. How do you tell if a card is looped? I still get a good ATR, just won't open with any password I try. I'll have to get on it this weekend. Thanks for the tips.

Looped = you will not have any ATR. Normaly , the program will tell you, No ATR or you will see a bunch of FFFFF"s in your ATR slot

That is good to know. How do I find the unlock password in a file if I don't have a readme? Is it even possible?

I mean if I orginally wrote the card with n2edit and used binx and applied patch y, what line in the orginal binx file would contain the password to unlock a card with n2edit? $9870 is one I have seen, but I recall seeing some on other lines in other bins? I may just be wasting time looking for it.

it's in your blocker, yes, in my blocker it starts at $9878, but if you use some other blocker, like codespace, then it is somewhere up around $3***"s

I'll have to look into that. I think I just corrupted the wite, but it could have been something in the patch. Hopefully I can get it open with an unlocker, but in the mean time I can keep trying passwords. Thanks for the info.
