I live in the Niagara area G10 comes in good a valid transponder is 11720 Vertical polarity SR=27692 FEC=3/4The best I get is about 30% quality but I have a long cable runthat is the weakest one so if you hit that scan in the restthe above settings were scanned in by my VS extreme the symbol rate may not be the exact but thats what it says
Oh ya and im using a 33" / 90cm dish

the elevation angle for G10 is quite low in ontario, also you will need to skew the lnb if you are using a fixed dish without a motor. It will be tight to find. set your elevation first then adjust azmyth.Lyngsat would be a good site to check for transponder info.hope it helps! not much on there worth watching but the odd time there is.

Any experts out their ?
I am having the same problem as James. And James did you have any luck ?
My info, I have 39 inch dish, and using a CS6K, no problem on the other sats. I have a clear line of site, I swear I can see signal, as the meter ( Dish settings TV meter) moves up, but I only get maybe max of 10-12 for quality, thus I don't get an ID for the SAT. One question is, do I have to manually set the receiver to "a" transponder to find this Sat 10R (123) TNX.

Hello James and others,
First, Thanks to Crow_492 for all the Sticky's above. Read allot and it helped.
My location as James is near Burlington, Ontario. My problem was that I just did not place the "DISH" in a negative position from vertical. I am so used to my other dishs facing "up" that I did not figure that out. Heres's some pictures of my setup. I got tired of climbing a ladder so I mount the dish on the deck, so I could easily test.
Picture bu1241angle.jpg. This is a blow-up s1241.jpg of the angle that I have it set to. Picture s1245.jpg is the view from the other side
Picture s1242.jpg look at the negative dish setting relative to the vertical "banisters" of the Deck railing. s1244 view from other side
Picture s1243.jpg the skew required on the LNB (linear LO 10.750)
Picture s1245.jpg to show that the bottom of the bracket of the LNB metal bracket is almost touching the vertical mast.. negative placement to vertical
Picture s1247.jpg is the "setup" on my CS6000. NOTICE The "banner" comes in as Site - 1. I was confused as I expected 123W Galaxy 10R, I checked Lyngsat and the channels line up. NOTE: IGNORE the switch settings, I tested with a direct cable, and then set it to my spare port on the switch. Lastly Quality is 88 percent.
Finally, I'm done for now. When N3 comes, I will try and mount a few other Heads on the 39" dish ( they may a metal bracket for that) and I will check out some other Sats.
I hope this will help others.
Cheers....
