I have friends with 5 unknown provider 102s. They want me to buy an unlocker to see if I can fix them. I have sent locked cards out for friends to be opened and received them back looped. Scares me to think I might screw up their cards. I'm trying to get feedback as to whether it would pay to buy an unlocker and attempt to fix the cards. How difficult would it be to do so. I've collected a lot of UP files over the years just in case I ever decided to try. I also don't have any idea as to which unlocker would be the easiest and best to buy. It might be safer to find someone to do the job. Your feedback will be appreciated.

Your knowledge of unlockers and other questions suggest to me you should not try to work on your friends cards. Get some unknowns for yourself and the then learn. Don't sacrifice your friends. Find someone else to do the job.

YME, i must agree with LocoMex- it is VERY easy to loop an UP card, especially the Rev10C's. Even people with alot of experience in the hobby get frustrated by those. Personally, after finding out(reading) everything I could find about the available UP scripts and the recommendations/settings and purchasing a new unlocker(Nexus from Mili w/4619s) I looped all three in a matter of hours. Of course they belonged to me so no fall out from friends. Good Luck!!!

The REV10C's (especially those that have been in the stream in the last 6 months) have anti-glitch code on them.

This has been discussed on other forums. The REV did not update, but new code was introduced into the card that makes the cards more easily looped.

For those of us that have been unlocking REV10C's left and right for months and now "all of a sudden" are looping cards (when we NEVER did before), that is why.

The Unknown Provider is also a result of shifted or corrupted code on the card. When you try to glitch into one of these, there is a MUCH greater possibility of looping that card (ESPECIALLY if you don't have a clue as to what you are doing in the first place).

Try just writing a virgin image to the cards first - this has fixed many unknown's for me. If that doesn't work - Rebelsurf Omni Unlocker works good too.

Good luck.
