Nobody really knows.

6 months?

Good guess as any.

I am sure the providers have an date they are aiming for.
Buy we dont really know. Could be early as Christmas?

I agree December or early into '09.

Still a Sub with all the tiers is about $80 monthly and then figure the value of the PPVs, so you'd would be UP on the purchase price of the CAM as opposed the programming received.

Take two dice...roll them...the result will be as accurate as anyone here can tell you.

I can tell you this much. I got a letter in the mail saying I need to call d1sh to schedule an appt. to upgrade my 921. they arent swapping card in them and i have until december to do this. they specifically said it would no longer work after first of year. And for the peeps that think the SOX or 206's are gona stick around....already had a 206 swapped out for a 241 in a 301.013....

The current "spoofs" only mask the actual card identification. When the N3 stream is initiated and the N2 stream dropped, the only way you will be able to use a ROM102 is if they run N3 with no MAPs (like how we use ROM10's now when they drop the MAPs). Of course for this to work, the New cards will need to be hacked. I hear a lot of talk, but have seen no proof. I undertstand the need to keep everything "under wraps" until the changeover, but I would appreciate it if one of the more respected users can validate that they have seen the hack.
