News are coming out about a Nagra 3 programmer device called slinger. All I could find so far were two pictures and a horrendous price in dssdooda's store.
Here are the two pictures attached.

From what I can tell by looking at the device it connects to a PC through a USB cable, it connects to a network and that it takes a card. It also seems to have another smaller jack socket like that of a telephone.

Looks just like an IP phone would except for the smart card? Maybe to use a smart card to hold a key to encrypt phone conversations? Since it is in a card hacking store and says it is for N3 I'd say it ain't an IP phone.

I'd say it is a network based card loader of some kind. I imagine a program is run on your PC and then the device connects to a server online and gets data the device uses to program a card. Maybe they do this so that there is no way to dissect what being sent to the card? I don't know but this makes the most sense. They want $499 for one and is out of stock. I will try to find out more. If you have any info on this please get in touch with mili@dssftp.com. If it is what I think it is I'd love to be selling it.

i remember when a hardware stand alone hu card unlooper was about to be released at a high price. moments later a public freeware software program was released that did the same thing. at $499 each should piss off someone to reverse engineer this thing. after all most computers have all of the ports on this black box.

I doubt that will be the price.
it would have to work forever and never go down and come with a guarantee for it to be worth $500

After cranking up the Brightness on my NEC CRT Multisync had a better look (also got a minor sunburn ;-) ).

The name on the rear panel is 'Slinger', and yes both an RJ45 and RJ11 jack. The USB port has a weird trapazoid like shape.

Couldn't make out much of the top pic, but it looks like it doesn't have programmable 'smarts' and would guess it's just an ISO programmer. Believe the N3 is still using the Siemens (Infineon) cpu, so it's the software that is the key.

There is one private blocker that I know of that uses their own proprietary programme to do the 102/103 online and one never gets any of this guy's bins, so could be the same delivery method.

Sounds a bit scammy, as no one has Cracked the N3 (to my knowledge) yet.

PS IMHO, it's like buying a car that doesn't use gas or electricity, or hydrogen and when asked what does it run on?...........................Dunno the fuel hasn't been invented yet. ;-)

I read on cc today that it also works like an nFusion where you use it to access an iks server so it does both. I am trying to work something out but it seems dooda has exclusivity on it.

Well the price dropped to 299 so mabe it'll be 100 by the time N3 rolls around-so its a small IKS networking tool-wonder if the main server will be a target for DN?

It says on cc that you would have to pay like 60 a year for the server.I have a nfusion and there is no yearly fee....Also is it possible for a nfusion to do the same thing. If the software is right it has a card slot tooooo.......Maybe something for the nfusion guys to think about.....

nFusion is alreay a card sharing device. You should catch up on your forums.
You just can't use one to share-out...you have to be connected to the main server to get your key packets.

Slinger for sale and explanation. Dear potential customers.

After long wait and scarcity of information we finally ready to answer all your questions. We have these Slingers in stock but only in a limited number therefore price follows the rules of supply and demand. There will be two ways Slingers can be used.
In a private setup where you have an ISO 7816 card you want to share on IP based network like the Internet or your LAN and one where you rely on a commercial server to provide you with the packets over the Internet.

If you decide to share your card with selected people, you need to insert your card in the back of the slinger and then insert the provided ISO 7816 interface in your receiving device. The Slinger will capture the needed packets and send them to your selected people over the IP network, all who need a Slinger setup on their end. All these Slingers will also have to be connected to the Internet or your LAN to receive the necessary packets.

If you don't have a card to share and don't have a friend who has one to share you can rely on a third party server to provide you with required packets. This service will be free for the first 3 months from the date you notify them of your wish to use services. After the first 3 months they will charge a yearly fee of $60 to access their server.

We will release the required software in a fey days you will use to program Slinger device in one of three modes.
- Slinger Server.
- Slinger Client for private network.
- Slinger Client for public server.

This software is also used to program in settings particular to your network architecture.
Please post your questions here and I will try to answer them.

Best Regards

Dssdooda.
