i want to know if i can switch my toshiba drive with benq
by putting it in my unit
using the mob b trick with 1k resistor
by getting keys
wondering if someone could help with this

is there an easy app for cloning a drive. I have an older Samsung, and bought a new one because old one shit the bed. I just want to clone the drive to the new one, no mod (so you can play back-ups), just clone the unmodded firmware from one to another.

sorry. hope this isn't hijacking, but I don't know what apps work, or are available.

I just did the same thing had a samsung MS28 drive and bought a replacment MS28.
I used IPREP to backup my original bin and flashed my new drive with xtreme.

Iprep will do everything you need

samsungs are honestly the shittiest drive there is. eject issues, close issues, disc scratch issues... benQ for the same price is a much better option. I have a stack of 10 that have new lens but I still buy new BenQ cause they just work better.

if you bought identical drive you only need to replace the DVD Key, hell, you can just dump the firmware from drive A and directly flash it to replacement drive A. You only need to do special things if you are
A) modding
B) replacing with a different drive
C) have a LiteOn
