PGM is getting frustrated with file leaking. My personal feeling is that most hard core coders are quirky, temperamental birds, but WE NEED THEM! So let's do what we can to keep them happy. In this case, it means donating to PGM and not circulating the latest files until such time as PGM deems acceptable.

I would recommend a small cash donation of $20 or so or more if your feeling generous. You can donate via PayPal or by sending cash or international money order to his PO box. The PO box addy is in the read me file that comes with the st19xl software. I happen to feel mailing cash is the safest of all methods of donation, but how you donate is up to you. Be sure to include an email address so he can put you on his mailing list and get the files emailed to you.

Also, it's come to my attention that, for the second release in a row, the new st19xl software has appeared in our files section prior to the public release date. That will not happen again. Please respect PGM's wishes and DO NOT DISTRIBUTE THE SOFTWARE UNTIL PGM MAKES A PUBLIC RELEASE! If anyone notices new versions of st19xl in our files section prior to official public release please PM a mod so we can remove it until such time PGM deems public release is acceptable.

Thanks for all you've done PGM. Your efforts are greatly appreciated by the vast majority. Please don't let a few bad apples ruin it for everybody.

I don't use emu myself, but if I had a steady TV experience with little downtime and was getting on-time updates (as I have heard & read PGM does), I would not mind throwing $20-$50 his way to keep his nose buried in the code.

We have lost so many excellent coders in the past few years... it would be a shame to have him give up and move on to hacking ATMs....

Here is a cut and paste of what was told to me by PGM, this way there is no guessing as when the PUBLIC release can take place.

C&P

New versions go out to the email list first and then are released to the
general public exactly 2 days later at XXXXXXXXX. I would expect and
appreciate if site owners / admins / moderators would respect that schedule.
When in doubt, a quick check at XXXXXXXXX will tell you if it has been
released publicly yet.

Regards,

pgm

I X'd out the web address because we dont need what took place at his old release site happening again, anyone on staff can contact me via pm and I will give you that addy. Problem is, I drop in here now and again, like on a bi-monthly basis..lol

That site is not exactly private any more. We are already aware of it and at least one of the mods here is a member there. It's a pretty basic release schedule. If your on the private/donating email list, then don't post it anywhere for at least 48 hours. After 48 hours, then you can share it. Pretty basic schedule if you ask me. Please try to honor it guys.

I total agree with what is being said here, but being disabled and on a limited income it is hard to get off of any money other then to keep myself afloat. I do enjoy the extra tv I get to watch but it has become so confuseing going from cemu to st and so on that I just dont look forward to any extra much these days. thanks to pgm and others in the past that has made my days enjoyable

many thanks
MARK

Hey guys.. First visit here, but I wanted to to pop in and clear something up.

STinfo, was never meant to be, nor is it, secret or private.

There are legal issues in a forum supporting a piece of software like ST19XL that needed to be addressed, if PGM was to be able to support it himself. The main being that no discussion of piracy is allowed. (there is one forum where anything goes, but PGM and I do not venture there, it's moderated by others)

Also, STinfo is financed out of pocket. My pocket. There's no advertisers, supporters, donators, contributors, bandwidth hogging apps, file attachments, etc. It's a lean, almost utilitarian site.

That being said, I am not interested in publicizing STinfo. It's not here to compete for profit, it's here to support ST19. That PGM posts and releases his software there, is from the trust of 8+ years of friendship.

STinfo cannot and will not, ever, be a large advertiser based, 'where is my free-tv fix' forum. That will immediately turn away a great number of members, but anyone is invited and all are accepted. Anyone interested in joining, simply PM me and let me know.

Peace~
