View Full Version : Slingers are in store
I got good news guys. I managed to buy 100 Slingers and they are on sale in the store right now. You will find instructions in PDF format in the Slinger 1.05 file at http://bellexpress.vu/forum/local_links.php?action=jump&id=7096&catid=86
I will do some testing come this weekend and post my results. If they sell well I will try to make them permanent in the store. Don't ask what hoops I had to jump over to secure them, selling my first born would have been a problem having no children so I had to bend over fucking backwards instead. If anyone already has one please post your test results.

I got one. Cant get it to work. Followed instructions to a tee. Tryed it on a 5800, 3100, 2700. No go. Very little support. Contacted Dooda because my diagnostics showed it was blacklisted and to contact dealer. They never got back to me. I would wait for a little support before buying. Few Guys over at CC say they have it working.
It is a new product I am sure once more people have it support will improve. I am setting up a BEV dish over the weekend so I can test one and I will report back on my findings.

I believe that I read somewhere that the ViP HD IRDs are not supported, but only the DP/legacy SD IRDs are. Is this true?

You are correct. I believe that VIP ird's ARE however supported in the new freeware rqcs card sharing software though...
Of course, the all ird's have to have the same ird/bk's/sk info...

That puts a bit of a pinch on non Jtag IRDs and would mean having to mod the VIP IRDs
Just to make it clear to people what pecker is saying. ;)

yep, you are correct, VIP's would need to be "modded".
If your smart, the first time you had it modded, you would have the modder install a socket on the bga flash. Then, if need be, you pull the socketed bga chip and send to them to re-program!! Much cheaper then sending entire ird.

No PPV and no Porn. Everything els is working including Playboy. Testing now on 3100 Private #'s Working well. I am now trying to get my 5800 to work with private #'s but it is proving difficult. Will let you know when I get it to work. Then on to the 6100 for the high def. stuff.
