The new ST19xl version 2.8.17 has been released. It can be downloaded from YOUR E-MAIL BOX if your a donating member!

Sorry guys, don't be too hard on me for sucking you in.:)

I will post it to our files section in 48 hours for public download if someone doesn't beat me to it. I will also be watching the files section to make sure any copies of the latest version DO NOT appear there prior to noon on Sunday.

Thanks for your hard work PGM.;)

JT, your post is BS. We don't need posts that say, "I have something that you don't have". Your post is childish. This is not in the spirit of testing. Either post the damned link or keep the release to yourself. Let's keep testing free. Anone else feel the same way?

Interesting first post cubic. Sorry you do not approve. May I suggest that if you don't find it anywhere else before then, that you return on Sunday afternoon and download your free copy? I will be sure to upload it Sunday morning so it will be available. (That's pacific coast time by the way)

Not that I owe anyone an explanation, but here goes anyway. PGM is getting frustrated with "hobbyists" and some aspects of the culture and is strongly considering getting out of the game. That means no more st19xl for anyone whether they're appreciative or not...which you clearly are not cubic2001. I'm hoping that encouraging donations will result in helping to convince PGM to stick around a while longer. By that I mean helping him financially, but more importantly, spiritually. PGM deserves to feel as appreciated as he is by most of us using his software. I'm also trying to promote this site and the morality of the mods here. Even the guys I don't see eye to eye with politically are great, honest, stand up guys. We have all suffered from a bad rap since the....well, better to leave those days forgotten if they aren't still fresh in everybody's mind.....;)

I'm trying to a good deed here by helping someone worthy and hopefully also help the reputation of this site. Agree or disagree with my methods, that's fine. I didn't make the original post to rub anyone's nose in the dirt or to brag about having software others may not have. I mean jeez. If you donate $5 plus the cost of a stamp you'll be on the email list. What's such a big deal about that?

JT, you have been a great supporter of free TV over the years. I am not disputing your past support. Just your blatant bragging about having something no one else has. I have donated and am watching TV right now. I support PGM and hope he keeps supporting the testing effort. PGM is appreciated and recieves praise after each of his efforts. But lately it appears he is only into the effort for the money and you folks are his collection agency. Let's get back to free TV, which has been the mainstay of the hobby and let those who want to contibute, contribute. Please don't push to make it mandatory.

BTW, I am wondering why you bother to point out that this was my first post? I have been a member of this forum for years and your post was the first one that caused me to respond.

Looks like I need to clarify something real quick I guess. Neither this site nor myself have any connection what so ever with PGM. I use his software myself and appreciate it greatly. Mili, on the other hand, doesn't care much at all for max/mel style emulation even though he does sell an external board for running emu. In fact, I'm guessing I'll hear from mili about the first post in this thread. I have my retort for that already prepared. :)

Donations to PGM are completely voluntary and are not required. That doesn't mean there are no perks for those who opt to donate. ;)

Thanks for the update JT. Good to know a new ST will be out shortly.

By the way, I didn't interpret JT's post as an "I have something that you don't have" post. Recently PGM has been releasing his program earlier to donating members. I find it informative to know that ST has been updated and that it will be released publicly in the next couple of days.

And if one does not want to wait for the fix, there's always the donation option or just run CEMU for the next few days.

Your missing the point cubic. You donate, I donate, JT donates. We all know
it's out.

Those that do not donate and are waiting 48 hours need to
know when the 48 hours start. Now they don't have to check every
few hours. They now know when it will be in the files section for FREE!

It's not bragging or being childish. It's providing useful info for those
in need. Try to remember not everyone is as fortunate as you or I and
can afford to donate. I am sure they appreciate knowing when they can
acquire the new version.

So JT's method of releasing this info was a bit eye catching. But that's
just his sense of humor. In this hobby you got to keep a sense
of humor or you'll go nuts.

Let's keep testing free. Anone else feel the same way?

I am a business owner and it never ceases to amaze me how some people expect something for nothing, and when they get it, they only want more.

I have spent more on this hobby than I could possibly hope to spend on just paying for the programming. Receivers, emu board components, programmers, unlockers, computers, etc, etc. This is far from free tv, but I ain't in it for free tv, that is just a perk that comes with it. Nothing in life is free and if you think there is, you will soon find that you usually get what you pay for.

But lately it appears he is only into the effort for the money and you folks are his collection agency. Let's get back to free TV, which has been the mainstay of the hobby and let those who want to contibute, contribute. Please don't push to make it mandatory.

PGM has been giving to the testing community since the SLE44e_p days and the dave emu, and though donations were appreciated, they weren't expected, just like now. Back in those days though, very few donated but he still kept the FREE updates coming. Now he simply wants a donation if you want an early release of the latest software. You can still get the update for FREE if you just WAIT. Most will blow 20 bucks this weekend on beer or whatever and think nothing of it. But send someone 20 bucks that provides you hundreds of dollars worth of programming.......no way. Pretty sad I think.

Test on true testers, get real free tv'ers.
Thanks PGM for your efforts though often unappreciated.

I'm with you Dumazz, It's not about free TV. Not one to ruffle feathers ... but Cube, if you been around as long as you say you have you should already know that this is testing after all. Hopefully you will have something to post for others. I didn't think JT's post had the "I have it and you don't" slant on it. This is getting rather lame.

Is that like saying the check is in the mail?;)

The worst of it is most people won't appreciate it until it is gone. Send a donation even if you don't use it, I suspect he will have one of the first N3 h@cks and I realy want to bo that list when it happens.

Don't be a putz. If your set up to run st19xl, then your set up to run cemu. The working cemu module has been released publicly as of yesterday noon or so.

I'm not being a putz and don't appreciate being called one. I don't want to spend my one day off reading and setting up another platform when there is a fix for the one I currently am set up for. I guess this was the wrong place to ask someone for a favor. I will wait till tomorrow. Thanks anyway.

You might be pursuing a hobby that doesn't fit with your expectations. :( Cemu is easy and you ARE already set up hardware wise to run it if you can run st19.

You were not asking for a favor. You are asking for someone to leak a file that's supposed to stay private until tomorrow. That's pretty putz like IMO.

You know where to get what your looking for and when now at least. You can probably find it leaked on some other 'testing' site if you look hard enough anyway. And if you don't want to take the time to learn an alternative your already set up to run, then that's your choice.

It's in the files section now. PGM has not yet posted the release publicly himself, but it has been in excess of 48 hours since the original release, so I'm pretty sure it's ok to have the file available.

I've been running St19 and cemu since both programs came out, been emulating since Dave years. After getting fined by Dave I realy can't trust sending money to anyone. I realy like St19 better than cemu but if there is no other option I will stick to cemu for now.

No risk in sending cash to a PO box with an anonymous email from yahoo, google, hotmail etc.
