I have one and it won't work with 2.7.1. I
ve experienced this before and the 256 atmegas I have work fine. Maybe the next ecm will work for you. I gave up on mine once and then when I got bored and tried it with the next fix, it worked. Hang on to it for a while and try it after the next ecm.

You still should check the fuse bytes every time before programming. I saw that you were using ISO clock of 4.5. Try 4.6 or even 4.68 when programming. Have you tried programming with the 'factory reset' .pfg image? There is also a slow programming fix .pfg floating around that wouldn't hurt to try as well. Edsport really is the guy to help you with your atmegas. No matter how trivial it may sound, give anything he suggests a try. These atmegas are very simple, but sometimes can be very finiky to make run. My very first atmega was a real bear, but with the help of others here it finally came out of it's coma. Something I've noticed too is you do not want to trust the erase features in PAL. Use Jeepers to clean the atmega image, then use PAL to program if you don't want to use sports' modified jeepers. Myself I prefer sports, but PAL works good too if you start with a good clean card.

Hi all,
That's exactly what happened to me on Bev with this card (and here as well)
Sometimes it works and suddenly... new ecm and it doesnt works... then new ecm and it works again....really strange behavior. Sounds like this type of mega doesnt really support evry ecm!?
So that's what I did usually, read books and wait for new ecm to try again ;)
Ed...all the story is on the link, it's where it started. Most informations are there but basically my atmega doesnt work, and I tried mostly everything.
JT...thx again for help, I will give a try to slow programming and factory restore pfg, I didnt try that.

:( still the same. Slowprogramming and restorefactory PFGs - fuse FF AE 89 FF before and after - tried with and without pin on jumper...
I think I(we) have to admit this type of Mega card wont work with some ecm!?

What's your boxkeys and R00# on the receiver? Wrong boxkeys will give you blackscreen.
Are you getting the current keys in jeepers?

Here is something for you to try to see if the current fixes is the problem. Try phoenix 2.7.0 or the pfgs that was made from that version and see if you get channels. It will probably freeze but atleast if you do get the chans then we know it's this versiion of pal that wont work with your card...

Thanks JT for your vote of confidence...
