Haven't Converted My 2500a Yet

Greetings everyone, I haven't used my 2500a for three years. I had my setup on a cpu tower computer. It crashed and I am now all wireless laptop. My lap top does not have the male 9 pin straight though cable connector. How have some of you other users handle this? I am also going to have to readup on how to convert my receiver to a 2700. Too, the last time I used my pansat 2500a I had connected it to my dish 500 on my roof that I subscribe to dish network. When I changed channels on the pansat the switch didn't work to change from 110 to 119. What's up with that? I'm like anyone else wanting a shortcut so to speak, so anyone who would like to give me information I thank you in advance.

To resolve the cable problem you have to buy another cable: a USB - RS232 (or USB to serial) together with your Straight through will give you the communication PC to Receiver.

To clarify the switch problem, I imagine that you used the SW-21, that switch will give you troubles getting one of the birds, you have to change that for a DiSEQc switch.

For the convertion procedure , you have to get the boot bin and the last Lzma bin (2.09 v2) plus the Uploaders recomended for that procedure.;)

Well charlie is going to N3 real soon, porn ch's will be gone 4-1, the others will follow soon afterwards.
How soon? I don't know but i wouldn't invest a penny or waste my time with a FTA at this point in the game.
