I see that the slinger has a smart card that connects to a kind of modem via a telephone cable.

In a VIP 622 does this smart card is inserted in the smart card slot of the receiver? or does the receiver needs to be sent for re-programming again to be compatible with the slinger? (i have a modded one that is working already)

Yes you use the interface card to insert in the card slot on the 622. You use your ROM103 BIN you already must have to load on the Slinger. ViP support is being worked on right now but will be finished next week I was promised. They ran into some communication problem with them, they say the baud rate is off. Nothing insurmountable.
