Is the slinger working in the us right now with public fix?Or do u have to go private?

To my knowledge it's working on both providers and all you need is a matching bin (102/103) public or private.

It is working for both Bell and Dish and you can use any married BIN you got.

Yes bud36 I don't know how else to say the same thing, you can run on any married BIN even public ones.

Hi mili- I have a VIP 612 and I don't see it in the group that can be mod.

I don't know if you are hopeless but your receiver is.
To get public numbers simply edit your up to date TSOP with the public numbers then use the supplied public BIN on the Slinger.
For Bell that is ird# 02AF04CA box key FDBF2E56AFFA7264
For dish IRD# 011C746C box key 8CA6A88CFDE2E263
Also check out the TSOP bank there are tons of public BINs I am sure you will find one for your receiver's build
