Didn't see this posted here, so here we go:
A RQCS cardshare package has been uploaded here: http://bellexpress.vu/forum/local_links.php?catid=64#linkid7410
This software allows you to share a subbed rom24x OR rom102/3 between up to 64 client receivers. Best part about this is that it is TOTALLY private. You dont' have to connect to a supposidly "off shore" server, ect... It is a private group of people, sharing a subbed card.
I have this setup and running great on a 508 and vip722 ird. Obivously, you will ONLY get ch's that are subscribed. However, this WILL WORK after the card swap is finished.
good luck
PS. if you get this up and working, wouldnt' hurt to send Ranton a small donation for his time/effort.

Don't expect this post to last long....especially when it advertises something for free that the site-op is selling.
Thanks for thinking of all of us and sharing pecker88!!!

LOL; didn't even think of that, just trying to let everyone know they have FREEWARE options.

nothings free, 64 client support from HIS sub?? that will fill up fast...
Theres enough wifi hotspots, and theres nothing illegal about connecting to the server - even if its in NA or EU. They can't copyright the keys, and would be hard pressed to make a case out of it unless they caught you red-handed..
If it were that easy to sniff all FTA would be up, as thats all they really need..

No, with this cardshare proggy, there is NO public server.
I was saying that IF you setup a server, you can invite as many as 64 clients to share with YOU, thus, splitting the cost of an "everything pak" or similar...
Mark my word, if this remains the ONLY viable "method" after N3, charlie will hold nothing back at pulling the plug on public IKS servers; much like they are waging a ware on FTA dealers, regardless of what country they are in.
This is no competition really. Who the heck is gonna share his sub with you? It is good for hobbyists and circle of friends. Besides I sell the MaxMel emulators you can use with this.

Mili: I commend you for letting members see "all sides" of the story.
As long as people don't peddle shit or tell people to buy something elsewhere we are cool. I have an Atmega and an FTA forum after all no? Trying to censor and pretend it does not exist would only make me look a bigger fool than I already am. The way I look at it is offer everything there is and let people decide what fits their expertise and demand the best. This freeware card sharing thing is working but wont gain mainstream following because:
-you need a PC right next to your TV and it has to be connected online
-you would need to find someone you can trust who is willing to share his sub with you
-it is one fucking nightmare to set up for someone who has issues prgramming his Viewsat
It will be a good hobbyist tinker toy nothing more. Since I am a hobbyist myself I will give it a try if I got time. In the meanwhile I got no problem you guys discussing the crap out of it and all I ask is that you point out to people who ask what they need to make it go that I sell the MaxMels here in the store. I tell you what, I will even make a forum for it, what name you want it to have?

Where is there an active disscussion about this? I cannot find it. (I mean externally from these forums). I have a few questions about it and would like to know where it is being discussed.
Then discuss it here.

There is no how-to in the "package" re: flashing the max/mel chip, which I believe is a soic ATTiny. I would think that you'd have to remove that chip to program. Micro soldering and desoldering involved, unless there is another way.

You can still get max/mel with socketed at90s2313's.
Mili has them in the store.
I haven't flashed any attiny atmels so i don't know anything about them.
I know there are max/mels with attiny & a programmer to flash it.

Would someone please point me where I can get the files to flash the AVR board?
Thanks
I agree with Mili, private card sharing (now that's an oxymoron) is a niche thing. Forget the factor of 64, it aint gonna' happen unless the guy with the Sub. is completely stupid.
All it takes is someone at the Monday morning water cooler, coffee machine to boast about how he gets Free TV. This could work with three or four tight lipped friends, but sooner or later your ISP's monitoring software and appliances will tag your account.
Now, small bursts of encrypted data but being Online 24/7.....................and a Residential Account? Next step would be to take you offline, and when the call comes in.................the first question would be 'Are you running a Business?................if so then our Business Plan starts @ $89 monthly for X amount of Gigs', so at the most it's a stop gap.
The best plan is to get mulitiple irds . and split the cost of the Sub. with close friends. There is no need to invent a High Tech mousetrap, that wood and the spring loaded 100 year old design works just fine.
PS I'm not kissing Mili's derriere and often will beg to differ but the above is Reality.

RG6A,
I don't think there would be ANY difference in the packet requests of the RQCS versus the Slinger.
I have several teenage kids that download from Limewire 24/7 and my ISP hasn't complained to me yet (knock on wood). A few KB of requests/returns every few seconds will NOT make a dent in my bandwidth if I choose to use either the RQCS or the Slinger.

Anyone know of any RQCS servers out there that I can connect to for a couple of hours? I'm eager to test my new RQCS setup (internal emu flashed to N3), if so could you please PM me?

Setup a DN server with an atmega or something and serve it to your setup. I can't see why it wouldn't work. just get whats N2. would prove it working.

I tested my server & client with my pre-paid N3 card, came in a 301-010.
I jtaged before & after activation. Worked great, watched my own pre-paid
N3 card on a 3900 public di*h lol
You can run the client & server on the same computer for testing.

Can anyone point me in the direction on how I can find more on a private card share, what channels are available, and the cost?
You'll have to find someone who knows more about the set up than I do. I'm just getting started on this project, but I can answer a few intro questions. You use your current max/mel emulation equipment plus either rqcs or NKshare software. The cost depends on the network and how you and your buddies decide to split up the costs. You will need one person in the network that has a legit sub and you will need a high speed internet connection. Past that I can't help much....yet.

"private cardshare" is just that; totally private. As soon as you "subscribe" to a private cardshare website/service, it is NO LONGER private. Like JT has said, make a friend that has a subbed rom241 and your in business. Once u find that, we can help w/ the rest...

Seeing as many people are looking at this option maybe we could get a section for it and start putting together some basic systems how too's as some of us realy don't fully understand how to set something like that up but would love to play.

i can set you one up. you'll get all the free channels, and the gay porn station.
I'd probably charge ya $125 per month. Oh and you have to pay up front for a year

Well, here's a little more info:
Obivously, you will ONLY get the ch's your subscribed to, nothing else. RQCS is a bit easier to setup, (compared to NKshare) as you dont' have to *manually* populate keyset info. You simply have to have a .bin that is married to the client receiver.
The server portions of both Nkshare and RQCS are similar. You have to have either A) tsop dump from subbed241 receiver or B) dump from rom10x cam that was replaced by the 24x cam you got in the mail.
If you have st19 or cemu running, setup will be VERY SIMPLE as you already have the hardware setup and all of the necessary keyset info. You HAVE to re-flash the atmel chip on the max/mel with a modified N3 flash where the 9th byte of the ATR is set to 64.
For VIP receivers, a max/mel WILL NOT work. You HAVE TO either use a mod-serial card OR AVR with 8515 chip. Again, a max/mel WILL NOT work on VIP receivers, regardless of what flash you use for the atmel.
As far as NKshare, here is a bit of info found at another site:

OK, So if I have a subbed card with private info that has a 241 card I would read TSOP to get required info. I wouldn't need any card info except what is on system info screen. That would set up the server and the receivers I have with public info would work for the client side right? They wouldn't need to be jtagged? I just have never set up a home network and would like to share the info in my house using either wireless or the power line plugin internet sharing system.

for clarification: some entries in the above .ini examples say "from getdata of subbed 241". Here is how to create this "getdata" fiile. Open the server.ini file and add this line to the top:
GETDATA=1
Then fill in the COM info to specify which com port your ISO is hooked to. Then put 241 in ISO and launch NKserver. A data file, (referred to as "getdata" above) will then be created. This file can be opened in .txt pad and necessary info can be c/p into .ini files.
for server:
Read the tsop of subbed receiver and open in GenDT08_SK; this will get you the BK and/or PVTSK, (Private SessionKeys, if SK receiver).
for client:
Yes, the same 'ol DN public numbers will work, no problem.
Great info pecker88. Way to be helpful. :)
Ok, I just screwed the pooch a little bit. I merged two threads about private card sharing with RQCS and it ended up confusing the issue a little bit. I hope I didn't confuse anybody. Just trying to consolidate this info. Next I'm going to try and separate out peckers and a couple others posts and make a sticky for this information. Thanks very much to those who are posting how-to info. This is a project even I am interested in and need to learn.
OK, I cheezed it up a little, but here is a consolidated info thread stickied. Please don't ramble on in the sticky. Keep it specific to setup issues and help. Here is the link.

brilliant. excellent work, I am sure this will help a ton of people save hours of wasted time trying to gather the info needed. This makes it look like 15 min work tbh.

Supposedly it is quite easy. Having not given it an honest effort yet myself it looks pretty confusing. A lot of folks already have all the equipment needed to run RQCS. The tough part is going to be finding someone that's willing to share their sub with ya I think. You guys can expect to see a bunch of newbie questions about this from me in the near future.;)
Hey Peeps, Got RQCS running and all looks good except all I get is black screen. Trying N2 but all I get is black screen with good guide and looks like server and client is doing its thing I see hooked to client and process ECM and all the numbers. Card worked in ird so I know tiers are good just can't seem to get picture but only on nasa and few other channels. I don't see anything wrong. I tried both 8515 and 2313 and same on both. I also ran st19 with no problem. Thanks Pooh

the channels with black screen are now N3, you should still be able to get channels like 300 and 318 as well as the PPV's
Not getting ppv or any other channels either just black screen with good guide and good reading from server and client. Got avr boards program with what I had for st19 and got n2=0 in config and I tried both private and public. But thanks for the reply just not sure what I'm doing wrong.
