Im using a Rom 102 bin in a 510 IRD I programmed the slinger as the How to Client states...
Now I have hooked to the Phone line and the card in the IRD
The card was recognized took like alwais the time to read 5 transponders loaded the gide and I[m watching channel 101
the and wanted to watch other channels and I have black image
the IKS channels that I loaded was 100-00113
pasword 123456789
My light in the Slinger Box goe from solid green to solid orange
I can watch only channels 101, 103 nasa and 500 the rest are solid black??
If I rebut everything the internet and the card it get solid green during the progress reading from 0 to 5 image comes in at 101
but nothing else if i change to channel 105 then the light goes from orange to green but stays at black screen, channel 300 ask me to purchase

Possibly router configuration. If you have a separate modem, plug the slinger directly into it and reboot the modem. If that works then its definitely your router
Make sure latest firmware in your receivers.

Blinking orange means the Slinger can communicate with the internet using TCP only but not UDP. This is almost always related to the router. Please find a list of tested routers on the bottom of this document.
l
Blinking green or solid green means the Slinger can communicate with the internet using TCP and UDP. Some people may have problems with UDP because the router performs port mapping or closes UDP ports.
In this case, they need to change routers or wait until we figure out how to get around port mapping for UDP.
You might need to use the upnp tool that mili posted. Or do a search for port forwarding. As the quote states, the orange light means TCP only not UDP. Looks like router configuration for the slinger is an issue to be dealt with on an individual basis.

did the same but for port 10000 since I do not know if was a mistake the 1000 or the 10000 as it looks on the slinger program when you set up your box..
red orange and the solid green image comes in at channel 101 if I change channel stays orange (solid) and black screen
I asked the developer about your problem and he said:
It has to be an session key problem on his end. Green LED means the slinger received
the control words.
SO it is either box key fucked up, DT08 or SK data fucked up in your receiver. DO this. Get a public TSOP for your 301 since that is an easy to JTAG receiver and try the public BIN.

Thanks for the help mii but I'm watching TV with regular rom 102 cards in both of my IRD 301.013 and PVR 510 both with private numbers so the bins are ok man.. I guess is something else I can send you a private message with both bins but so far in nagra 2 I have being using this two IRD no problems
I was looking at other forum and the experts there states this :
C/P
When you tune to a channel, does the led go from green-orange-green? If so, then your IKS connection is fine and the problem resides with your IRD SK or public info.
If it goes green-orange-orange, then it is a problem with your slinger connecting to the IKS server.
I gues this is my case Mili

Panchocuerdas,
The motorola modem you are using has an integrated router with a firewall. The description that you posted proves it.

Adding a Belkin router bbetween that and your Slinger would only make matters worse. You need to figure out how to get the motorola modem/router to pass the ports that the Slinger is trying to use. I can't tell you whether your motorola is compatible with the slinger or not but passing the ports through it is necesito for the Slinger to work.
I sincerely wish you the best of luck!

As younotchup mentioned you have compounded the problem with now two firewalls and we're not counting the builit-in XP one (which should be disabled when using the LinkSys router.........read the docs on their site).
It's time for someone using the same modem successfully with the Sl*nger to step up. I assumed that you're running XP, if so disable the firewall and use the software utility to reassign the ports.
It's not the Sl*nger, but your hardware, check the motorola site for info on the modem, perhaps it needs to be reflashed depending on the age and model number??
It is working, sort of so the problem is at your end not the new black box.

It seems that the box is working, can you ask the Cable co., for another modem without a router? Use whatever excuse you can, messes up my DSL, cordless 2.4GHz phones.
You're running the latest XP SP, right? When was it originally installed and do you download and install then remove lots of programs?
I'd back up your important files and then reformat and do a clean install and updated SPs. It could be something as simple as your anti virus program intercepting the keys or bad Registry entries, who knows but I'd start from scratch.
Also, if you have any other optional accessories/devices attached remove them. Start with a clean basic system, get the Sl. going and then add. No one asked how much memory you have and what other crap you're running in the background.
Something is stepping on the Sl. and not allowing the keys to be passed through.
If all of that fails to solve the problem and you return it and Mili finds out that the device is functional, it will end up in your mailbox again.

hi I just want to offer a little help.... you might want to look at your router settings and see if you can find an area that has the DMZ option and put the computer or IP address that you are connected with as the DMZ this will open all ports for that IP address if this helps and it works then you will need to find out what port the slinger is needing to route to your IP and set that port number to point to your IP as a virtual port. If I can be of help to you with the router then maybe you can help me out as to what I need to purchase so that I can open my dish dvr 625 up so that I can watch all the channels. I currently have a dvr 625 on the basic plan for 100 channels but dish keeps rasing the prices up and up so if you have some idea can you email me or post me so that I can buy what I need.
maybe between the two we can offer each other a trade of services and we can both be happy.
looking forward to talk to you or someone that can help me out with some answers.

all this guy needs to do is open the correct port and assign it to the ip address that the slinger is hooked to. why it would have to get rid of his router or even reformat his computer is beyond me. You dont have a clue about computers so you shoud not even be giving advice like that. Now wonder why so many people are screw up. do me a favor guy and goto my website and I will set you up.
this is as simple as know the port number...lets say its 10,000 then goto your router and log in to it. the ip address of your router is the same as your dhcp or your gateway try both of them and get into the program section and look for Nat or vitual port routing. once you have found that then get the ip of the computer in question by going to the CMD prompt (start run and type cmd) type 'ipconfig -all' this will tell you all the info you are looking for. then setup the virtual port 10,000 and point it to the ipaddress of your computer and tell it to use both TCP/UDP this way you cover both of them.....if this does not work for you then assign your ipaddress as the DMZ of the router which will open all the ports for that ipaddress. If you need help just got my website and click on remote help but please dont listen to this person that is telling you to format your computer and so on as this is not needed.....this is what a person that does not know what he is doing does out of desperation.
if by give my website to this website offends anyone then I would not want to be part of this site in the first place as I am just trying to help another fellow computer user out and would like to get the same from someone in here about what I need to order to setup my dishnetwork so that I can get all the channels.

Sorry to hijack this thread guys but I must.
Milton, you're obviously new to the Sat scene because if you knew anything at all you'd know that by advising people on how to circumvent sat security, you're violating the sat company's property. Not that I have a problem with that. I don't. The thing is, by putting your name and website on these messages and discussing these types of issues, you're opening yourself up to a lawsuit. Of course maybe you don't care. Sure looks that way!
Panchocuerdas, how's the slinger doing? I should have mine any day now. Can't wait to give it a try!

Neon,
The slinger ap is packaged as a RAR file which is a type of compressed file. In order to open it you must use a program such as winrar or 7-Zip to de-compress it. If you google 7-Zip you'll find their website. The program is free and works very well. If you still have difficulty opening it then maybe try downloading the slinger file again.

Cliff,
thanks for trying testing the public config. At least we know it's not a network issue with some of us. Anyhow, I just wanted to report back that I am up with private numbers on my 510. Not sure why the bin and tsop i was using did not work on slinger, works just fine on receiver and and autorolls to boot. This is why they call this testing. What I did: remarried my receiver and card using gent08 using SK. Reprogrammed slinger with married info and its up and running. I'm seriously wondering if it's an SK issue? Just my thoughts. Panchocuerdas, my friend, if you have the time try public just to make sure it's not a network issue and work out from there. So after 4 hours of testing i can confirm Private Numbers do work.
WAW that means the advertizing is not true!! let me see what is the public numbers? which I do not have a hint and se if that works but then this is Bull becase sooner or later we will be a target...
Could the masters confirm or not if slinger need to work only with Public numbers,,,,,

Okay for all of you havening problems with there private ROM 102 EEPROM or ROM 103 EEPROM for that matter but I’ve not test it with 103EEPROM But it should work …..If you getting black screen no video or sound that’s not slinger what causing that....its your 102 EEPROM try this....because I know it works I've test it with 2 slingers in 2 different IRD’s(I've 510 working with this way)
The programs you need to get started alongside your ROM 102 card EEPROM file that is married to your receiver. And Dish Public Clean ROM102 at rev 103.bn102 that’s located in IKSlingerVersion1.08\Dumps directory...
GetCamInfoII (http://bellexpress.vu/forum/local_links.php?catid=47&linkid=7457) I have upload this in file section should be available SOON!!!
Rom Explorer Alpha3a (http://bellexpress.vu/forum/local_links.php?catid=24&linkid=291)
Let gets stated some of you may know this but for folks don’t know we going to transfer all private 102bin info to Dish Public Clean ROM102 at rev 103.bn102 that you got from IKSlingerVersion1.08\Dumps folder.
1) Open GetCamInfo ll and open your private 102bin EEPROM.
2) Open GetCamInfo ll again and open the Dish Public Clean ROM102 at rev 103 lets call it (Dish Public)
3) Now open Rom Explorer Alpha3a and open dish public bin from Dumps folder.
4) In Rom Explorer select replace from you edit drop down menu. Tine window will open.
5) Now look at the option 2 remember GetCamInfo where you open Dish public bin Copy the camid and paste it into RomExplorer
6) Copy the camid from your private102bin image and paste it into "replace with" in romexplorer and hit Replace All button.
7) Do the same find and replace in RomExplorer with your Ird, ird B. Box keys and your dt06 and dt08.
8) Ones you done with that in RomExplorer save this bin with name like Slinger bin or whatever you like to call it …..
9) now open you private bin IN GetCamInfo ll and Slinger bin and verify all the info should match … now load this bin Slinger bin to slinger ….
This info will help those who’ve resolve there networking problem and get green led on slinger but no video or sound so discuses your private bin matter here thanks….
Hope this helps everyone...

I ran slinger with public few days ago and now just using the atmega , but wanted to see if i can use private as your instructions., have 301 13 Dish and the original bin , i tried to follow the instructions i might have lost you , but tried to figure out what you trying to say , maybe i got it right not sure .(lost you in step5).
anyhow my IRD dont even see bird 110 and says iam trying to use wrong card nor compatable ...etc , the problem might be i didnt do good on the istructions, yet my IRD has a built from 2003 , software P200 DAPD could that be why.??, it wont upgrade or see the new card(slinger).???
i never done this but if one can guide me to write to my Rom102 original card , some bin with my own IRD info , since i dont want to play with the TSOP ., and plug it so it will upgrade the software.
any chance .?
