I doubt it but you could get a wireless bridge like http://cgi.ebay.com/Linksys-WET11-Wireless-Ethernet-Bridge_W0QQitemZ220383295056QQihZ012QQcategoryZ672 50QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and use that to connect to your neighbor's router then plug the Slinger into that bridge.

yes you Can,

1) Connect ethernet cable to PC/Laptop and slinger console.
2) Open Network Connections (Start-Run-ncpa.cpl).
3) Right click Wireless Network Connection and select Properties.
4) Click the Sharing tab and make sure the top box is UNCHECKED!
5) When finished, repeat steps 3 and 4 for Local Area Connection. If there is no Sharing tab, don't worry!!
6) Highlight both Wireless Network Connection and Local Area Connection, right click, and Create Bridge. You should then notice your Wireless Network Connectiondrops down with the new Bridge Connection
7) The most important part now is to right click Local Area Connection and Add To Bridge. You should now be able to connect

I guess that means your notebook has to be on all the time. I think the router bridge is a better idea.

Smitty28 is correct and there are a couple of things to consider. Yes the notebook would have to be ON as it now is also a Server. If your neighbor is running unsecured (no encryption, e.g. WEP), then your network is unsecured also, and perhaps someone next door with a wireless 802.11g card can also get on and access your system. So use encryption and only need the P/W once to establish a connection.

Encryption has it's own overhead and will 'eat' bandwidth, and I did comment about wireless last week for another person using that option. I mentioned that there might not be enough bandwidth but was wrong. The Sl*nger is only pulling Keys, not copious amounts of A/V data packets.
