Porn didn't actually go away

I was watching porn until 20 minutes ago when I finally changed it from the porn channel, I had it on since march 31. I know there's supposed to be a patch that makes one of the nags go away but I had to see if they changed the encryption today. No, obviously they did not or else I wouldn't have had porn. I don't know if others have made this observation yet but I know it's important to know.

i havent heard of a patch to make the nag go away...i believe if you roll back your firmware on your ird, the nag will go away...also have heard they changed the nag from april 1 to april 17...

Nope, the porn did not go to N3 today. I say let's figure out how old the firmware has to be for us to still watch porn. Here are my results with a 301.10 and a 301.13, all running public NoRSA number sets. Please post your results in the same format so we can make a coherent list of firmware that is still working for porn.

301.13- P450- Gets nag, but shows porn in guide pip
301.10- P396- Gets nag
*301.13- P344- No nags, still shows all porn*
*301.13- P346- No nags, still shows all porn*
*2800- P854- No nags, still shows all porn* (2700/2800/3700 models all use same firmware now days)

This issue can easily be overcome by rolling back the firmware. I'll do some more testing and post some more models and firmware later today.

The 241 spoof does not make your ROM102 magically a ROM241 (N3) card.

When you implement the spoof, your receiver will not take a "normal" ROM102 again (without re-doing the TSOP flash).

The spoof does NOT autoroll...you will have to manually change the keys (and they have been changing daily for about a week now).

So......WHY do you want a spoof again??? To avoid pressing the SELECT button when you see a popup?

There are private spoofs out there that autoroll for Vips. Also it seams to mean we all have forgot how long it took Dish to change from the Rom 10's to the Rom 102's & 103's. It was about three months after the porn nag that the porn channels went off. They also have aloy more subcribers now they they had then. Also all of my neighbors still have not received there N3 card for any of there receivers. I have now check with 15 of them. I only have N3 running with my subbed 722's. My 942,625,510's and 301's still have the N2 cards sub running.

I'm not gonna get into a pissing contest...been there before. But I don't see how a card that is spoofed to ROM241 REVH02 autorolls the keys.

My line of thinking:

When you insert a spoofed ROM102 into the receiver, it will recognize it as a ROM241 card and initiate a routine that is present in all current firmwares (if you don't believe me, look at the firmware of say a DP301.013 @ current REV in a Hex Editor).

When this routine is initiated, a flag is set so that the receiver will not accept a ROM102 (or lower) into that particular receiver any longer. You will get a message "You are attempting to use a card that is not compatible with your receiver" message...or something close to that. If you want to go back to using non-spoofed ROM102s, you will need to re-do your TSOP (or EEPROM...not sure where the flag is stored).

Now we get to the autoroll problem. When the new firmware is now in control, I would think that all commands for a ROM102 keychange would be discarded. That is why every blocker spoof for ROM241 I have seen does not autoroll. The firmware thinks the card is a ROM241 and does not pass the ROM102 keychange commands. Now I don't have access to all "private" blocker scripts. But I bet dollars to donuts that none of the spoof blockers autoroll. If they do, then they don't remove the nags from the porn channels.

If someone else can explain where the keychange command is passed (firmware versus smartcard) I am all ears.

I have no idea how it works but it uses a rom 102. I know this first hand. It is private i had all of my stuff done I don't ask how.

Im running a 301.010 P396 with no nag.

All you have to do for atmega users is click the rom241 box & your atmega will read 241 Dsh H00.

No nags all porn. No need to rollback firmware.

& for 102 users get the 102-241 spoof patch floating around & apply that.

I did try " Sport's 128 April 2 Rev 241 " for my Atmega_128 and nothing at all, not even regular Channels, just black screen. It says that the file will get you back the porno but will not Autoroll. Anybody have try it? Anybody with a comment? Anybody knows what is happening? Anybody Anything ? Thanks Guys....

The keys rolled again today and that's what is causing the black channels... Update the keys and it should work just fine... Except for the porn, they went straight N3 today...
