slinger with Dial up how to.?

would appreciate some instructions , good ones idiot proof one., on how to setup slinger with a dial up.
many questions here and no answers or how to guide., i read it was tested with dial up, but they dont say how.

1. i can start with this question, the cable with the slinger is a str8 out cable for eithernet connection., if you have a dial up what would you use a cross over cable .???, cant use the eithernet cable cuz its a computer to slinger, not a modem.,

the orange light lights up when slinger communicate with router...etc.??
so with no router a dial up what would it blink., or it would skipp that orange .???

any of you guys have it set up .??, since no good instructions at all out there by seller or makers.

Use a crossover cable between the computer and slinger.


The lights will sequence through the normal sequence from red to flashing green.

thanx for thr reply , well it took me for ever to play with this , but no luck., i have iternet but the slinger goes red then orange then blink orange then red or and blinking red. i never see green or blinking green.
since there is no clear instructions to me on how to load the slinger . could it be i have problem there.,iam using dish 301 one tsop public info .,

ok i got it going , but i have to say the $10 atmega i have works better for know., it freezes a lot , every few seconds if lucky every minute or so ., and realy thats not a method to watch cnn ., you will miss a lot and end up making your own conclusion.
so what needs to be done from my part to make this better.?,if i can

Glad to hear you got er going. The only thing that will make it better is if
the slinger guru's get the bugs worked out & mabe some better servers.
DSL, cable or satellite internet might help ur freezing a bit, but i doubt it.
