I finally got mine running tonight... Yes, there's still freezing as of now, (friday night) but when you get picture and sound it's a good sign. It means the rest is ok (router, bin, etc. etc.)
The word here is patience... When I hooked it up, I got solid orange light and nag 019.
I'm telling you right now, it's useless to play with the wafer card, the problem is not there.
All I did was to unplug the Slinger and replug it and wait..... at some point it starts to blink green and then solid green and the nag 019 goes away and you see the acquiring sat signal.
Some channels come faster than others, sometimes it freezes a lot, sometimes not for a good while. Let's hope the new server/software fix this.
I have an ex-sub 5100, I used my private numbers. Works very well no problem. I used my rom102 (spoofed to 240) to update the firmware of my IRD, no need to jtag anything. It took a while! I was far from the 664 version...
I have a D-Link router (DI-524) , using dynamic IP, DMZ the IP of the Slinger, used the UPNPtool Mili suggested too, just in case.. but that software did not detect anything until I disabled the firewall on my Nod32 antivirus... then it worked. I also use a powerline bridge that bring internet right behind my TV, these things are really plug and play.. work like a charm.
Now let's see hope for more channels and less freezing... summer is coming.
